Lone Creek Camp #2
Do not camp here
As soon as we got there, we were asked to sign liability waivers to excuse anything that might happen to us on the campsite. The pictures and description indicated that we would have our own private campsite with a fire pit, but there were different tents and families camping/living around a communal fire pit, and a few people who lived on the property in RVs in addition to the homeowner, who just seemed to designate all responsibility to a guy who lived in the middle of the camping area. She never spoke to us. We were instructed to park 1ft away from another car, with a shared plywood table spanning our campsite and the next door campsite for cooking/stove. This place felt more geared to people living there permanently. The instructions they gave us indicated that we had to be quiet after 10pm, and the port o potties provided were down an unlit path into the woods, and shared between however many people were living there. Overall it didn’t feel safe, welcoming or at all representative of what we were promised.

South Whidbey Gem
Lenore is a wonderful host. Attentive and caring for her guests. Quiet site, some road noise but not really noticeable, wonderfully located for exploring South Whidbey Island.

Lone creek camp was spectacular. Lenore and Travis were friendly and welcoming. It was nice to have a community option of a group fire and picnic area. The campground was clean and well maintained. I loved the option to inexpensively rent some camping items, it made the work of getting ready and putting away much simpler.
Thanks Lenore and Travis, we look forware to camping with you again.
