I love dogs, and hate having to tie them up at state parks. Here is your dream camping spot. You have your choice of a 2 room tent and netted awning, or bare camping spaces in a separate listing. I have a total of 10 acres on Whidbey Island (My home is slightly visible from camping sites) with lots of room to play on the lawn with a stacked stone firepit in the center. Around the firepit are several different spaces for tents along with a netted awning with tables for cooking and eating. A cooking tripod and grill is also available for the open fire. The camping area is open, but I will not book more than 3 tent sites in the open area (max 12 people) at a time, for your privacy.
Your pet can roam free here as long as it is friendly with other guests. There is a large fenced exercise pen just a short distance away if they are prone to running away. Your consideration in cleaning up after them is required.
This clearing sits in the middle of my acreage and can accommodate several different tents and scenarios. This is a communal setting. If you have a larger group, just contact me first for availability, and you can pitch additional tents.
The camp site is only 7 miles from the Clinton Ferry and about 4 miles to the beautiful (off leash) dog park at Double Bluff beach. Short walking trails are located on the property or many more can be found only a few miles away at Putney Woods. You can launch your watercraft at the marina in Langley or rent kayaks and paddleboards to be delivered to any launch site on Whidbey, from Whidbey Island Boats and Boards. The Saturday farmers market at Bayview and the Sunday farmers market at Tilth are practically in your backyard. Check out the wineries in this area for a real treat!
Location, location, location! The south end of Whidbey island has many trails, beaches and shops and wineries to explore. Unfortunately this is also a curse as Hwy 525 is about 2 football fields away and some road noise is heard, though it is heavily blocked by the terrain.

Relaxed and welcoming
Perfect for a last minute weekend trip to Whidbey! Loved having our dogs offleash! Lenore - and Travis, camp host - were both onsite and available for questions and suggestions of things to do. Enjoyed the community aspect of folks from the three sites spending time around the fire.
