Pitch your tent in our grassy area within a 100 feet of the lake all while listening to the majestic sound of the creek . Enjoy the wild ducks, deer, otters . Lake Sutherland is a warm lake take a dip and cool off or rent our kayaks and paddle around and enjoy the scenery.  This is a tiny piece of heaven we have decided to share . At this time there is only room for one tent and one car ( 2 tents might be granted , case by case ) . The short Lake trail also has a few steep spots and that we are working on , don't want you to have any surprises. Santi can is also at the top of trail .  The trail is rather short just sloped . We would rather you know all the quirks and you be pleasantly surprised by this little majestic piece of heaven . There is a shallow sandy  area in the water great  for children  , no dock but room for your kayaks ( if booked ahead of time ours can be rented as well )  or paddle boards, floaties etc.  Lots on the lake are small so neighbors are close. Our neighbors are a vrbo and we have met so many wonderful people from all over the world, so you can either stay to yourself or have a neighborly conversation but either way everyone is in Holiday mode and ready to relax. Book us now and Enjoy The Lake Life  !!

This camping spot was gorgeous - right on the water, a fire pit, and a break in the trees all made for a lovely experience. I would highly recommend for those who are exploring the Olympic Peninsula or are in pursuit of some beautiful waterside camping.

The location was lovely although it was a bit tight located between a house and the host's cabin. The main issue was the host was doing home improvements with power tools on the cabin which was very close to our "site" until 10:30 pm. Our site was basically her yard. The second day of our stay, she invited a large group of relatives over (7 teenagers). They hung a hammock right in front of our access to the lake and parked in our designated parking spot. Clearly, the site should not have been rented when the host was having a large party.

Hi Tracy, I'm so sorry you feel this way. Yes we did paint and ran a drill as we did have something that needed fixing . Having ran it for only a few minutes . I didn't know it even bothered you as we chatted several times with no mention of it. . I tried to explain cabins are very close together in my description of our site. We do actually own two lake lots so even though they are close together it is a separate lot. I wish you would of communicated any of your issues with us as I did try and text you with no response . After seeing you two had brought books to read I actually hung the hammock for you, thinking you would enjoy it and since you had been gone all day my oldest son ( young adult ) laid in it . Sorry this upset you . We did try and accommodate you and even brought you a table from town. As for a parking spot there is no designated spot it is lake parking and it is always tight . The parking spot you parked in Friday is actually for two cars and we left you the biggest of the two on Sat. So I am not even sure what made you think it was a designated spot for only one hipcamper but that maybe your just not used to summer lake parking. Either way we wish you the best !

This site was everything we wanted and more! Johnna was a very welcoming host and gave us great tips about the site and activities in the area. The site was much larger than we expected as well and had a lovely fire pit with chairs and benches. We had time to go for a brief dip in the lake at sunset, such a fun and relaxing time! Definitely would visit again and recommend to others :)

We had a great time. Description was accurate. The spot is a piece of heaven. Hosts were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We would stay again for sure.

A perfect spot to pitch your tent while exploring the area. Host was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Even though there are houses and people all around we felt we had enough privacy. Would stay again and again, probably will!Hidden Gem on Lake Sutherland

Wow! Johnnas place on Lake Sutherland is beautiful. Best features are the wonderful fire ring with two chairs, view of the lake and surrounding mountains, gentle lake waves lapping on the shore, and a soft green lawn to pitch a tent. Plus, the portapotty was very clean (seems it is cleaned often/used rarely). It is a bit of a walk down/up and steep, so make sure to take a second to gather everything you need. Neighboring properties are close by, so don’t expect an area entirely to yourself. Still, peaceful, clean, and beautiful.
