Kozy Cove Camp
Ok for last minute site
The view and location to the river are absolutely perfect, however, the actual campsite was lacking as was appropriate communication with the host. We booked last minute, but we missed the entire first day because I had to drive two hours out of my way just to meet the host to pick up a key fob that opened the campsite entrance gate. Host definitely needs a better plan like a lockbox at the gate for guests. Also, the cell reception is terrible so the host sent a strange man to our site to pick up the key which did not make us feel safe. Host also seemed very flakey, a bit crazy, and extremely unprofessional. The campsite also is in need of maintenance. We needed a diving knife to cut our way through the path to get to the river. It was ok for last minute camping if you’re fine with sleeping on dirt and tree roots. No space to sunbathe. No grass. Also no kitchen or cooking supplies, which was posted in the ad, so we needed to go back home the next day to get our camping stove. There was also no sign posted, like it also says in the ad, so we were never really sure we were actually in the right spot until the strange man came to pick up the key fob. Would not recommend this particular host or campsite, but would definitely return to the area.

Kozy Cove Camp
It was relaxing for this city girl
I liked camping there. Hearing the river/creek made for a relaxing and soothing sound. Krissy was great and was accommodating in every way. Being away from the city was all I wanted and this totally fit the bill. If you need to get away from the "concrete jungle", I'd definitely stay here. Definitely a "car camping" experience but well worth it after being stuck in my apartment for over four months!

Kozy Cove Camp
not good at all
You are basically 15 feet from host on 1 side and 10 feet from an old junk trailer on the other. You are on the main drag in fact the mailboxes for the entire community are in front of where you park so traffic all day long let alone mysterious people walking around all night. Windows seem to be blown out of trls in the neighborhood. Place looks literally like a junkyard that needs cleaned up. Do have to say host was extremely nice and did her best to be helpfull

Good views but not for families
The owners were very friendly and communicative but the site itself was not what we expected. It might work for people looking only for access to the river for kayaking or paddle boarding, but if you’re looking to relax by the water or let kids play, it’s not for you. The site itself is directly under a power line and by the main road so there’s noise at the site. It also was recently cleared so the ground is uneven with some trash and debris around. I think the bathroom they provided needs to be serviced to really be used. Views were great so I think if the site can be cleaned up a bit, it would be okay for older groups looking for river access.
