Elk Meadows - In The Trees
Elk meadows is a great tent camp
Justin was super accommodating for my very last minute booking. There was even an accident with a double booking between 2 websites and he still made space for us. It was a great spot for stay on a drive around the coast.

Lovely camp site
We love the stay at Elk Meadows. The camp site is so big and lovely. Everything was ready before we arrived at the site. The wood , the water and so on. Justin was so helpful and he even started the camp fire for us. A nice place to stay if you want to go to Long Beach area, only about 35 minutes.

Elk Meadows - In The Field
Quiet little spot off the highway. Super friendly host. We were one of the first handful of campers and the host described his plans for creating more sites and adding some amenities. Feels like a campground in the development stage, but was a great place for a nights rest on a roadtrip!
Elk Meadows - In The Field
Good enough for passing through.
This was his first time hosting and communication was pretty good overall, but the spot itself was on the sketchier side. Adequate for overnight travel. Gave us wood for a fire. Bring bug spray

Spacious but still private!
We were the first guests ever to stay here, and Justin was the perfect amount of hospitable for what we needed. The site was super easy to find/clearly marked, we were greeted with info as well as some questions for what attracted us to the site/feedback (privacy/not a public campground, being able to have a controlled fire during moderate burn bans, as well as delicious well water on site).
The spot itself could have comfortably fit another tent and vehicle, there was plenty of room. The spot (1 of 2) that we chose made us more comfortable than the other because we had our dogs and the site to the right was closer to the road… had we not had our dogs since it wasn’t a super busy road it wouldn’t have bothered us. It would be great for van lifers, too because you wouldn’t have to drive too far in.
We were left with a little bit of complimentary firewood and I definitely appreciated Justin’s reminder to bring bug spray. We are looking forward to coming back next year as while the site was pretty bare bones (but still everything we really needed) this time, we know there are plans to add some rain shelters and other features that we have no doubt will make this great even year round.
