Our property is bordered to Washington State Fish and Wildlife public river access which has no overnight camping. Quiet and secluded and very private you could see most any of Washington wildlife Fishing is a major strong point of this campsite although there are very nice trails to walk and rocks to skip. There is a very nice swimming hole that has a very good shallow place for younger kids and a deep hole that you could snorkel up river for 1000' or go the other way and float the river for about 5 miles of very manageable river to the next boat launch. The campsite is basic with a 4' metal fire ring and several spots for tents and tables there is a compost toilet We sell fire wood by the garden trailer full for $20.00 usually lasts for two days

Overall, it was great! We stayed next to the river and it was beautiful! Our host was also very welcoming and made sure to check up on us every day!
I only had a few issues:
First, the campsite is on the border of public land, so we had some questionable people walk past our site/partying near by, and some cars driving very fast on the beach 15 feet away from our tent on our campsite, which was worrisome because we had our small dog with us.
Second, the open-air toilet was right next to another site, so we couldn’t really use the bathroom while other people were camping because they could clearly see the bathroom.
Besides that, it was great! Very nice host, close to great hiking spots, and the river was beautiful! We saw a lot of wild life including river otters!
Great escape with exactly what we were looking for. Camping spot has a nice secluded, flat, and shady space to setup your tent and a few chairs around the ring. This would be great for groups or family. Water is nearby with shallow and deeper areas for swimming and fishing. We had fun skipping rocks and watching fish jump. The morning and afternoon you hear nothing but birds singing and the evening is filled w crickets and frogs. We loved it. Do the environment a favor, and bring a bag to help pick up trash from public lands nearby. The site itself was clean and well groomed.

What an amazing place to stay! It was serene - quiet and peaceful and beautiful! We had the place to ourselves and truly felt one with nature. We heard only the amazing sounds of nature - silence, stars, fish jumping in the river - TRUE peace and quiet! Don, our host, was as pleasant as could be and even brought us firewood when he found out we didn't have any. He even offered us his tent! I highly recommend this place if you want an amazing experience!

Humptulips river valley was a great getaway. My wife and I went strictly to fish and that’s exactly what we did. I would recommend this place over and over. Such a great property on an amazing river.
Wow! One of the most beautiful camp spots I have ever been to. Very clean and spacious for our family of four and little pup. The porta-potty was a welcome amenity especially with little kids in tow. Our host was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for a happy stay. The public access area that borders the property was busier than I expected though with much coming and going close to the campsite. Not as private as I was hoping but we had such a nice time we can’t wait to come back! I highly recommend this site for families who love water recreation and natural beauty.

Though we found this spot on hipcamp last minute on our way home from Olympic National Forest, the group collectively wished we had planned our entire trip around this campground! It’s tucked away into a forest, with a river running through and major star gazing potential. The spot could easily accommodate a large group, with both forest and riverside camping available. We were swept off our feet by Donald’s riverside paradise and will definitely be coming back!
Great spot on the river, next time we are bringing paddleboards.

Don was a great host and the site was perfect for our large group.

Don was a great host and was super helpful throughout our stay. The site was perfect for our group for the weekend and the location on the river can't be beat. We'd be happy to come back again any time.
