The property consists of two bluffs (East and West) that are about a half mile apart, there Is a gentle rolling slope from each bluff down to the valley between. The valley has a seasonal Creek, quite a few trees, wetlands, lots of small wildlife, and a large presence of birds of prey. Owls, Hawks, and the occasional Eagle, you can watch these magnificent birds perform their morning, or evening hunts. Owls don't have teeth, so they swallow pieces of meat, bones, fur, etc. The undigested portion is regurgitated as a pellet. They can be found easily under and around the nesting areas. We have a small pellet gun, crossbow, and archery range. You can bring your mountain bike, dirt bike, and/or your horse and ride along the numerous canal roads and trails. There is a motocross track that is groomed. With no light pollution the moon, and stars are extra bright, we have binoculars, and telescopes you can use for star gazing, or bring your own. It's just not camping without a fire, so yes, you can have fires (unless burn ban in affect). Fire wood bundles available or pre-order and it will be ready to lite. Great fishing is just minutes away, at either the Snake, or Columbia Rivers, renowned for their Salmon, Steelhead, Walleye, Sturgeon, and many other species. There are several nearby wineries, Juniper Sand Dunes (hiking, dirt bikes, ATV's), the Tri-Cities (20 miles South) hosts the annual Unlimited Hydroplane Races every year on the last weekend of July. Minor league Baseball in Pasco, and there are all kinds of Art and Cultural outings to enjoy. There is a electrical cord available for phone charging, radio, computer etc. and a hose for additional water.

Philip (host) and Watson (dog) we're friendly, followed COVID-19 hipcamp practices, and we had a great evening watching the sun go down. There is a more set-up sight and then the option to drive into the meadow, and down by the stream. Trees by the stream could provide more privacy if you want it. Great stop on our way, and a good choice during these times, and after.

Last minute, unexpected. Needed a safe place to pitch a tent and sleep. Late in and early out worked

The site has no signage so follow the directions in the hipcamp listing. Phillip was very responsive and helped us find his place and let us know where to park. We stayed near a RV (I think it was permanent) and among a few other vehicles. It’s far from the house and feels private. There is a hole in the ground for doing your business and no running water. There is a fire pit and plenty of chairs. We absolutely love the view and surrounding area. The sunset was the best we’ve ever seen. The site was great for kids. Not great for most women. Would stay again, just to crash and leave first thing in the am.

Gorgeous sunset and fire pit

Philip has a beautiful property and was super welcoming and accomadating. Stars were beautiful and so was the sunset! A really gorgeous place with a very nice veiw, not to mention Philip already had a fire ready to go for us when we arrived. My family and I would highly recommend this location!

Really enjoyed staying here and the $5 fire ready to go was well worth it when I pulled in late at night. The spot is in a meadow near the house, but moderately private as its shieled behind an RV and a tool shed. There's a quiet drone of distant roads and machinery, but very peaceful with beautiful stars and not far off the main freeways. This was a great spot to spend a night, with a table and chairs and an outdoor potty seat above a hole in ground! Directions could use some specificity for anyone arriving in the dark, but overall this was worth the money and I'll stay again if I pass through.

Phil was super kind and accommodating. This is a great location close to hiking and other activities in the Tri Cities area. We specifically enjoyed hiking in the White Bluffs area, which is really close to the campsite. This location would be great for a couple or a small group of friends. This area can be flat, which makes it difficult to find privacy, but part of this property is located in a "draw" where small hills and trees/shrubs provide screening.

Beautiful spot! There was a dog roaming the property (not sure if it was the owner’s dog) - just something to note.
