The property consists of two bluffs (East and West) that are about a half mile apart, there Is a gentle rolling slope from each bluff down to the valley between. The valley has a seasonal Creek, quite a few trees, wetlands, lots of small wildlife, and a large presence of birds of prey. Owls, Hawks, and the occasional Eagle, you can watch these magnificent birds perform their morning, or evening hunts. Owls don't have teeth, so they swallow pieces of meat, bones, fur, etc. The undigested portion is regurgitated as a pellet. They can be found easily under and around the nesting areas. We have a small pellet gun, crossbow, and archery range. You can bring your mountain bike, dirt bike, and/or your horse and ride along the numerous canal roads and trails. There is a motocross track that is groomed. With no light pollution the moon & stars are extra bright, we have binoculars, and telescopes you can use for star gazing, or bring your own. It's just not camping without a fire, so yes, you can have fires. Your first bundle of wood comes with your reservation (unless county wide burn ban in place). Minutes away are the Snake and Columbia Rivers, renowned for their Salmon, Steelhead, Walleye, Sturgeon, and many other species. There are several nearby wineries, Juniper Sand Dunes, the Tri-Cities (20 miles South) hosts the Unlimited Hydroplane Races every year on the last weekend of July.

The site has no signage so follow the directions in the hipcamp listing. Phillip was very responsive and helped us find his place and let us know where to park. We stayed near a RV (I think it was permanent) and among a few other vehicles. It’s far from the house and feels private. There is a hole in the ground for doing your business and no running water. There is a fire pit and plenty of chairs. We absolutely love the view and surrounding area. The sunset was the best we’ve ever seen. The site was great for kids. Not great for most women. Would stay again, just to crash and leave first thing in the am.

Gorgeous sunset and fire pit
