Experience a tent site nestled in the tall pines of Deep Creek canyon. Just a 7 minute walk slightly uphill on a beautiful trail to the private campsite. Cook on your own stove, bring your own bedding. Fall asleep listening to the nearby great horned owls, distant howls of coyotes, turkeys and night-hawks, and get an idea of simple pleasures of sleeping close to the earth in a beautiful pine and fir forest. We provide a private picnic table, and a bundle of wood for the fire pit. Daytime walks can lead you to a swimming hole at the creek, a fairy garden, a stone labyrinth, a sweet “tea house”, yoga platform, and many meditation spots. Our 10 acres have been a delightful retreat from the busy-ness of urban life and being cooped up due to the virus.

Far out! in style
Jane and John have meticulously created a wonderful, private retreat space to enjoy the outdoors with just the right amount of comforts. Pamper yourself in solar heated running water, private shower, sink and composting toilet at the Far Outhouse very near by. Use the fire pit, stocked with the essentials, picnic table and chairs with readily available hose and spray nozzle to safely bask in the glow and warmth of a wood fire. The total privacy is well planned. The Tipi, up on the hill, is a short walk from the other sites but you won't see their camps. Set next to the twisted old growth pine tree, built from natural materials and well constructed, the Tipi feels authentic in every way. Inside, you have the comforts of "wall-to-wall" carpeting over a bed of soft pine needles with native wool blankets for a comfortable place to lay down. Soft candles, fresh water and cups await on a small wooden night stand when your ready to meditate, relax or drift to sleep to the sounds of the forest.
Staying at Jane's was such a magical and special experience, highly recommended. Jane was very easy going and helpful as we ended up staying an extra night in the tent camping spot. The land is beautiful and her and her partner have done an incredible job making it feeling welcoming yet undisturbed. If you're in the area (or not) I would recommend a stay at GAEA.
