This property is a large RV site with 2 separate hookups directly across the street from Mayo Cove Inlet, 1 mile from Penrose State Park, 3 miles from Joemma State Park, and less than a mile from Bay Lake. Across the street from the RV site is access to Mayo Cove Inlet where you can easily drop your kayak or paddle board into the water. (Know Lakebay Marina is currently not open). There is still access to the water! It's only a short paddle out before you will have a stunning, unobstructed view of Mt Rainier. Penrose and Joemma offer clamming, fishing, oyster/muscle hunting in season. Bay Lake is known for amazing fishing, including large mouth bass and rainbow trout. This RV site is a perfect landing spot while you spend your days adventuring. There is also a full RV trailer on the upper lot available if you wish to travel with friends. This site is across the street from Mayo Cove Inlet, which is an easy spot to drop your kayak or paddle board in and explore wildlife or paddle across to Penrose State Park. There is a dock to moor a boat at the State Park if you wish. This is directly across the inlet from the property. Multiple beachfront parks nearby with hiking, marine exploring, and shellfish harvesting options during season. Fishing and boating on Bay Lake just down the road. Many beautiful areas to enjoy by foot or car within minutes. This site includes 2 RV hookups, so there is an option (at additional cost) to have 2 trailers if you wish to share the space with a friend. The site is about a half mile off of the main highway on the Key Peninsula and are just the right size for your RV and truck or car. Lakebay Explorer's RV Getaway #1

It’s a great spot! Beautiful scenery, peaceful. There is a road right by the site that gets some traffic but we were not bothered by it. Water and power hookups (50amp and 15amp). Just across the street from the Lakebay Marina which is no longer in operation but lovely to walk around. We stayed here to visit friends in Tacoma, without having to stay in Tacoma. It worked well for us.

This spot had a beautiful view of the water, it was also spacious and quiet. Robyn was very welcoming making check in so smooth, and she commucates very well while respecting your privacy. I definitely recommend booking here if your RVing and need a quiet place to stay. Thank you Robyn!

We were out of luck on finding a public campground late in the day and found Robyn’s site on Hip camp. We were able to secure a great place to stay on late notice in the dark. Simple but well laid out and across the street from a beautiful inlet and proximate to Penrose Park. Thanks!

Loved our experience here! The spot is perfect for a little get away. Being right across a small lake, with a small fire going, and enjoying the clear skies really left us wanting to stay longer. Great spot with an even better host! Thank you again Robyn!

A Super Host

Robyn is a super host. She communicates very well, responding almost instantly and sending clear instructions. Her sites are clean and assessable. She has all the required hookups for a tent trailer or RV alike. The area is great. Lots of great walks and views of the sound and it’s close (a five min drive) to Penrose Point. There was even a new and delicious Mexican food restaurant (I think the name is 2 Margaritas) only 3 min away. My only recommendation is to bring ear plugs. The trucks that drive by don’t care about being crazy loud. 100% not Robyn’s fault. I would give this site my highest recommendation.
