Curly Horse Campground is 6 miles up on a beautiful mountain. The campground is mostly flat, has 5 RV hookups with P/W/S, a small pond and a campcenter building with bathrooms and showers. Horse corrals are available to rent at one side of the campground and we have a large barn with stalls on site. The main house is at the opposite end of the property. A cell phone signal booster available for guests. This location is very private and has direct access to the Colville Nationals Forest. ORV operators please remember National Forest permits are required to use their trails. Because of our rural location we also have a wide variety of wildlife and varied trials.
THE ROAD: Our rustic mountain retreat is on a rural county road. Many of the county roads in our area (like ours) are dirt roads. Our resort can easily be reached in two wheel drive and mostly two wheel drive even during the winter. In the really dry parts of the year the county is unable to grade the road and it can get rough. Also, when we get a fair amount of rain, water run off can can create dips in the road until the county has a chance to grade the road again.
CELL SERVICE: Sometimes folks get very connected to their devices. At the resort we have cell service, but not on the 6 miles of road up to the resort.
DIRECTIONS: From the highway, please go up Deadman Creek Rd for 3.8 miles, turn right onto Jacknife Lookout Rd and go 2 more miles, then turn right at a large sign that says, "Dreamswept Farm", and has a dreamcatcher with a horse in it.

Everything was clean. Bathroom and shower was nice and clean. The frogs in the pond were amazing at night. Huge fire pits, hosts were absolutely friendly and amazing. Felt private. It's a long way in the middle of nothing. Very very quiet and peaceful. Took a walk in the mornings and said hi to some horses. Felt very comfortable. Lots of national forest to explore, cool trail for the quad
It's a beautiful place and a very reasonable price. The bathroom is on the lowest floor of the large building. And a booster or a router or something like that where you can get cell service is above a very small porched Bldg just before the big building in the middle of a bunch of smaller buildings it's got a nice porch bench
It is a beautiful spot we discovered the bathroom in the largest building and that is basically what the instructions say. It's in the lowest level of that building. And the booster for your cell phone is above a very tiny building you can see that tall antenna tower pool the building has a nice porch with a bench on it it's about the second building in that whole collection as you're coming from the entrance we booked again already. We think it's an excellent deal. And the staff we met were very helpful
This was my second time staying at this campground, which is saying a lot. I love how far out it is. There is absolutely no sign of life outside the ranch. You don't hear cars or sirens. It's to far off the road. I liked it enough to convince my brother and his wife to bring their camper and come along the second time. The sights have plenty of room for my 31' camper plus my rig, my wife's rig, and all the toys. Huge fire pits. Nice clean bathrooms and full hook ups. Can't be beat. I'll be back
We love it here
I love this place. I've come back and brought friends this time. I love how far away from everything it is. You'll never hear another sound from outside the camp. Clean, private, and the sights are big enough for my rig, my 31' trailer, my wife's rig, and the quad. Good riding trail. Beautiful views. Perfect
Quiet and pretty
This is a beautiful spot nice warm clean toilet in the bottom floor of the largest building. Very helpful staff. The Wi-Fi hotspot is in the second small building it has a porch with a bench.

We had the most wonderful long weekend at curly horse campground. I will break down my review into sections since I have so much to say!
Traveling there: We drove up from Spokane and were a bit nervous about the directions given there wasn't much cell service but we found it easily, the incline on the mountain going up is a bit harder on the car pulling the RV but the road was well maintained. It is a fairly narrow road so you'll want to go slow as to pull over a bit when you have oncoming traffic. Melanie was wonderful and readily available to answer my questions prior to our arrival.
Arrival: Our arrival went well. The RV spots are clearly marked. Melanie came by a couple hours after we arrived and answered any questions we had. We were able to buy firewood up there as well.
Farm animals and Horse experiences: I highly highly reccomend this option. You will have to speak to Tami, the owner of the property. She offers a couple of options for horse and animal experiences. My kiddos wanted to ride a horse, we opted for an option that gave us almost 2 full hours of time with Tami and Dusty the amazing Pursiron horse. Tami teaches vaulting and this option allowed us to do everything from getting Dusty from her stall and haltered to brushing her and then almost a full hour of riding time. The kiddos were able to try all sorts of Vaulting movements on the horse as well, mind you they have no horse experience. Tami is wonderful and patient. Very informative and not insulted by our lack of knowledge about horses. The cost of the whole 2 hours was $50 which is an amazing price for the amount of time and instruction we got. We will be going again just for this sole purpose.
Overall the grounds have everything you need. There is a camp kitchen house about 50 feet from RV spot 5. There is bathrooms, showers and kitchen facilities(under renovation). There is also a couple of BBQ's outside and a pond. There is a group fire pit between RV site 3 and 4. Spot 5 did not have its own table and fire pit which was our only negative BUT we were able to get permission and make a little fire pit and the table wasnt a big issue at all.
Everyone was friendly, we were able to feed the animals in the morning and the kids and dogs were happy playing in the dirt and exploring. You have a great view of the stars, you have nearly no cell phone service and no wifi which is great. There is a cell phone signal booster near RV spot 3 if you do need to make calls and there is WIFI outside Tami's home on the property if absolutely needed.
I highly highly highly reccomend you bringing your family here. Each RV site has water, power and sewer hookups.
