Drive-up Tent site with a new 10x10 picnic shelter and all the amenities. Fire circle, spring-fed water faucet and outhouse. Owners will even start you out with a box of firewood. Located at the base of a hill with stunning views of Deer Mountain and Jordan Peak. A small stand of 80 yr old cedars offers afternoon shade. A 5 acre active beaver pond is just below the site. This is what people are talking about! A rare gem just an hour drive from Seattle takes you to the newly built campsite located in the middle of a 100 acre tree farm. Not christmas trees but 30-80 year old trees grown for lumber. This place looks like a big park. Listen to the owls at night and and watch the local falcons and hawks living on the nearby vertical cliffs. The area around the tent site was logged in 2018 and replanted with 1,300 red cedar seedlings. Hike the extensive trails and enjoy a completely private camping experience.

I still can’t believe this gorgeous place is such a quick drive from Seattle. The campsite had great views and everything we needed. The Host, David, is very friendly and welcoming. We had a lot of fun exploring the trails around the property and staying cozy by the fire. Would definitely come back to visit again!
My family and I had an excellent time camping on Dave's land. The site was private and Dave left us some free fire wood and a map upon arrival. A lot of different areas to explore and the look out was beautiful. And even though this is a working tree farm, we only saw one other person ride by on an ATV while we were packing up. Other than that, complete privacy! Our pup was able to be off-leash, worry-free, the entire time. If privacy, or safety, at public campgrounds is a concern of yours, I would highly recommend camping here! It looked like more sites were being developed, and I imagine it will be really popular in the future.
The best camping
What a wonderful place! We didn’t actually get to meet Dave (this time) but we had been very friendly and communicative with us. The directions were very easy to follow and we got to the spot without a problem. And the spot was amazing! The views! The hiking! The care and love that went in to everything was obvious. I felt very lucky to be there and getting to share in all the majesty. We’ll absolutely be back.
Awesome hosts with an amazing site
The pictures don't do David's place justice. Incredibly quiet, private, and absolutely beautiful. The campsite is structured where most of it is in the shade of gigantic trees so even on a hot weekend, you have a place to stay cool. The site is large enough to still offer great areas to grab plenty of sun if you so desire. A clean spring water spigot is available close to the campfire ring and a pit toilet just a 30 second walk away. We saw deer, ducks, geese, a heron, and plenty of hawks. It was the first time I've heard owls hooting in the wild. Clear directions and you'll have no problem accessing the site with a passenger car.
I also have to commend the amazing hosts. They came to check on us, gave us great tips for things to see, and told us the history of the area. We really appreciate the time they took speaking with us and showing us their property. They were awesome.
I highly recommend. We're bringing family next time.
Had a great time!
David was very nice, met us there to ensure we got in ok, and he even had firewood waiting for us. A big blue heron lives in the pond, the trails were great and the site was secluded and well kept. I highly recommend this place!
Private and beautiful!
It was a fantastic little secluded spot in the middle of the lowland forest! Make sure you get all the instructions before arrival on how to get to the site as cell service is (thankfully) very very weak. We never saw another soul, and loved to listen to the wildlife at night under the stars. There was extra campfire wood and even a little bathroom outhouse, and trash can. Make sure you make a jog up the huckleberry trail! It was a perfect little spot to land after a busy work day of traveling!
Our first time camping with our small kids. We were a little confused at which gate to enter upon arrival but the host was quick to respond and assist us. Campsite is covered in gravel and nicely maintained. We loved having the water faucet next to the fire pit - so convenient. Beautiful views, several little trails to explore and a creek nearby. This is a great spot!
We had a great stay! A beautiful spot and very peaceful. David left us firewood to use, which was very kind! Having the water spigot at the site was super handy! Thanks for letting us stay!!
