Rural farm camp in Yakima's west valley. This relaxed campsite is bordered by fruit orchards and farms on a very quiet dead end road. Over two acres of field grass surrounding by rolling hills with views of farms, cows, horses, and the eastern foothills of the Cascade mountains. There is a 1/2 acre pond on the camp property with frogs, turtles, wild birds and wild ducks and geese drop in all the time. Very quiet and peaceful out here, the frogs will sing you to sleep and that's about the only sound you will hear. There is power and water hooks up at 2 of 3 camp sites. Two large and level RV spots are graveled and can accommodate your 5th wheel, diesel pusher, trailer or toy hauler. The third RV/camp spot is grass but also large and level. This grass spot is dry camping but water is available from nearby spigot and a generator is also available for rent at $20/night. Forgot your wood? No problem, firewood is always available $ 5.00/bundle. There are fire rings at each site for your use (unless burn ban in effect) Camp host always has plenty of S'mores supplies (complimentary of course) for that campfire treat. :) Visit our hen house! We have laying hens with fresh eggs daily for your breakfast. Bring the kids, wooden play structure and swing set are ready for family fun. Plenty of fun activities are only a short drive from the campsite! Yakima is well know for the amazing fly fishing throughout the region. Own a boat or jet ski? bring it, plenty of space to park your boat and watercraft trailer. If you are into quads, motorcycle riding or 4x4 off-roading this place is perfect. There are forest service roads and trail riding nearby. Jeep and off road groups come from all over the state to ride in the foothills, just 30 minutes away. Winter time campers are welcome too! Winter access is easy, county road to entrance of Hipcamp is plowed by county road crews and as host I have tractor 🚜 to plow the camp area prior to your arrival. Snowmobiles are welcome in winter and you get a reduced nightly rate. Ride and play in the snow around the camp property or drive 20 minutes to foothills with trails and forestry roads open to sleds. Bring the whole group, plenty of room on this property for as many as 20 rigs and trailers.

RV site # 2 —30 amp hookups & water

We recently booked site 1 & 2 for two nights in Yakima area. Dave's Hipcamp was a perfect getaway for us and our dog Toast. Dave was a great host and very communicative. We would definitely return on our next trip to Yakima. Our dog loved the place and being able to run off leash with Obi and Dixie was a bonus.

Cottonwood Country Camp 1 w/30 amp

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Dave’s Hipcamp. Our dog Toast especially enjoyed it!!! Had the power and water hookups we needed. Lots of space and we felt it was very private. Dave was a great host and even gifted farm fresh eggs which we had for breakfast. It is an easy drive from Yakima and we would definitely return on our next outing to Yakima. Oh yeah there is a warm bathroom with a shower a short walk from the campsite.

Fresh Chicken Eggs in the Morning

Awesome place to camp. David was there to greet me as I arrived. Everything was in order as listed. Free firewood was a bonus as it did get chilly at night. I felt absolutely safe and comfortable here at Dave’s property.

Highly Recommended Yakima Stay!

Loved having a choice of siting! Wide open skies. Vociferous bullfrogs. So many birds. A lovely tree-covered walk beside the pond. Just wonderful!!

Fun on the Farm!

Big spot to park. Lots of acreage to ride bikes and play with your kids. There’s a pond on the property with frogs and the occasional duck flock. Very nice couple with a very friendly dog who will play with other dogs and loves kids! We will definitely come back to Cottonwood Country Camp!

Cottonwood Country Camp - e660

David was a spectacular host and can’t sing his praises enough. We decided last minute after a long day of wine tasting in Yakima to van camp and needed secure accommodations so we landed at Cottonwood Country Camp and from the moment we checked in David made us felt welcome and set up for success. It was exactly what we needed and we even got to pick out a few eggs from Davi’d chickens!
