Pitch your tent on a beautiful acre of land that has a private creek in the back of the property that runs into the Chehalis River. The property is fenced for privacy for you to enjoy a peaceful stay.

Camp site is a two minute walk from the main house. You will have access to a big community fire pit and a wood stove for cooking. You are walking distance to Rainbow Falls State Park and all of its amenities. Hiking, fishing, white water rafting...

Or you can fish right on the property in the creek, because in December when the creek is the highest, Salmon come up from the Chehalis river to spawn and look for food, so bring your poles because you will have a private fishing hole.

A white Stork and wild ducks make this creek their home, so you will be able to enjoy the sounds of nature in a private setting.

Just a really beautiful area of Washington and a 30 minute drive to the coast. A five mile drive to the nearest store which is Pe Ell Washington. A friendly community and great neighbors.

This was our first Hipcamp experience. We wanted to get away from the neighborhood fireworks shows on July 4th. Fred and Dawn were amazing hosts and we felt very welcome. There was a fireworks show some miles away (marginally visible from the site) but it wasn't close enough to feel like we were sleeping through an artillery barrage and it ended at a reasonable time, unlike what happens in my neighborhood. There was some noise from the road. The property has lots of wildflowers and a creek that is low in summer.

Fred was awesome! It was just me and my 5 year old niece and we felt completely safe. There was coffee, snacks, and water readily available. The area is beautiful and only a short walk to Rainbow Falls.

This was our first time ever using hipcamp, so at first we were a little unsure of using this platform. However we were stuck between a rock and a hard place when we realized all of the campgrounds on the state parks were filled for Fourth of July weekend after driving for 3 hours. It turns out that the whole time, we were meant to stay at Costellos Creek! Our host Fred and his wife were extremely welcoming and accommodating for all of our needs, even when we booked super last minute (booked around 3, showed up at 4:30). We are excited to come back when the creek is flowing and see the salmon! One of our favorite experiences here was being greeted by neighbors cows while having our morning coffee, and sharing a campfire with our awesome hosts and their dogs! We loved that they also provided all the firewood you can burn, and a trailer with snacks and a bathroom/shower!

I would definitely recommend this space! Rainbow falls only a short drive away.

Fred and his wife were wonderful hosts. They left snacks out in the camper which served as a bathroom. The site is just a half mile from rainbow falls and some great swimming holes. We spent the whole day at the river. The site is definitely a work in progress. Sites 1 and 2 are right near the road and are on flat grass. Sites 3,4,5 are not very level - it was hard to find a flat spot for our tents. Fred is still clearing the site so there were significant construction and random metal debris scattered throughout the sites. This wouldn’t be safe small children - we had to watch our little ones very carefully.

We stayed here for a weekend. Fred and his wife were gracious hosts, and did their best to make us feel welcome. the site is very near to the road and doesn't have any barricades from the road. The sites are small and not very private or flat. Since we were the only guests that weekend we got to choose the biggest site, and Fred graciously mowed the whole place down for us. They have a trailer with a sink and bathroom that are quite good.
The sites do not have a table, but a fire pit was provided. Great place for stargazing.
