Nestled in a narrow river valley with 1,000ft+foothills rising to the east and west, our valley is filled with green and nature everywhere you look. Mountains, a river, streams, forests, fields ... there is something for everyone. Or everything for everyone! Peaceful and serene views are only disturbed by some county road traffic, an occasional train rumbling by.

Our farm is one of several in the valley, and likely many others, there is history here. Our oldest building was built in 1910, a large picturesque loft barn, and we are working to have it placed on the Washington Historic Register for restoration and preservation. The imprint of the dairy farm operations are still visible, although we are working toward converting it into a sustainable and organic crop farm serving our community.

We have three campsite locations currently, with more in the works:

Northfield: A small 2-person site next to the river on the edge of our field. During the late spring and summer the grasses easily raise a privacy screen all around you, filling the air with their gentle whispering. Fires may only be made in the designated location.

Riverside: (This listing) A moderately sized location that is seasonally available (Late spring through early fall. The remainder of the year it may be flooded), it is at the river crossing and is the most secluded we currently offer. Shielded from the road and buildings by blackberry thickets and trees, it is one of our favorite locations!

Creekside: A large grassy area next our old feed barn and future greenhouse, there is enough room for everyone, and includes a picnic table and year round fire pit.

Amy and Mike have an amazing property and are the perfect hosts for this type of thing. You have free roam of the property, firewood available for purchase if needed, and a general vibe all around. We intend to come back and stay again.

Amy and Mike were great hosts, they were at the site when we reached and were super helfpul in getting us settled. The place was amazing and the site also had a bench and a table.
My only concern was the description of the site, it was not a riverside spot but just had a really small brook which was probably 3 feet wide and the water was maybe a 10 inch deep. That was the only disappointment (since I had asked before booking) in an otherwise amazing experience.

Response from Amy and Mike, the Host, on August 19th, 2018

Our apologies for any failure to convey the state of the river. The river is indeed at it's lowest in July and August, and the two creeks also dry up. The Samish River is also not particularly large here even at peak, as we aren't far from it's source, but will entirely over flood this site for up to 6 months of the year. The pictures attempt to convey the state of the river for various times of the year, and should be looked at to ensure accurate understanding of the scale of the river.

Mike and Amy were great hosts. My girlfriend and I showed up around 9PM to this cute old farm, and Mike and Amy both were there to greet us and show us back to our camp site. Very large valley setting surrounded by a small river, an open clearing, and a private little watering hole. Blackberry bushes are scattered about the property which made for a nice delicious surprise, as Mike told us we could snack on them if we wanted, which I made sure to do, and they were so sweet and tasty. Firewood was optional to be purchased in increments of $5 and we ended up grabbing $20 of wood for each night which made for a great time. Would definitely come back and appreciate being taken on short notice. Felt private but I had good close communication with Mike if I needed any extra wood or help w the property. My first hipcamp experience and I'm looking forward to more trips. Check out their other camp sites, they have a creekside site and another one at the moment but they plan to add more over time I believe.

Great little farm area where i was greeted by happy free roaming chickens and a few goats. All the animals on site were so sweet and added to the excitement upon arrival. I stayed in the private riverside area that was perfect. There were some trails to explore off the site and fire wood available to purchase with delivery. Hosts were highly accomodating and very friendly. We had a great time.
