I loved staying here. The view out over the Twisp river was calming and lovely. The property has a lockable gate, which made me, as a single camper, feel safe from intrusion. The big picnic table made it pleasurable to prepare food and coffee. Water from the river was easily accessible from a turnout at the bridge. The entire time I was there, I didn't hear another car or person on the same side of the river. Since the location is about 100 feet above the river, the river sounds were subdued and pleasant. I found the privacy and solitude to be just what my soul needed. I'm grateful to Charlie for sharing this magic place away from the busyness of the town.

Awesome open spot to enjoy a fire, sounds of the river, and of course a tasty beer. Host is very responsive and friendly! Would come back.

Charlie is a really nice guy. We weren't able to stay due to our trailer being a rather large gooseneck horse trailer, LQ and the drop in the driveway. We were able to work it out with the host easy enough. I would go back with my regular bumper pull trailer some time. Nice place, well maintained.
Great spot with a very remote feel. We took our 4 month old out for his first camping trip and it was perfect. We went mushroom hunting nearby and went on long walks on service roads. Charlie is a great host and very communicative.
We had two trucks and two small trailers. It was slightly tight for parking, but easy once we thought through things for a minute or two. Bring lot's of leveling blocks as the site is flat but bumpy.
Bring a lot of water or be prepared to hike a short, steep, and primitive path to the river!
The outhouse is super nice and it was awesome to have some firewood already cut ready to go.

Great spot, loved the sound of the river below. Also loved that it was close to a drive to a few different look outs. I will definitely go back to this spot the next time I’m wanting to go to this area.
Our stay at Arnica Lane was one for the memory books. A few highlights include being lulled to sleep by the echoes of the swiftly flowing Twisp river, taking in the glorious smell of pine trees in the sun and an evening breeze you can almost set your watch by. We found Charlie's property to be a great jumping off point for recreation in the surrounding areas. If you are looking for crowds and a full itinerary, go elsewhere!

Charlie’s place was great, the campsite got a lot of sun but also had plenty of shaded space which was a nice balance. It felt very private, the next neighbors seemed to be a half mile away or so. The sounds of the river were soothing at night. While exploring the mountains near the site we saw two brown bears, wild turkeys, eagles, bunnies, snakes and deer and many butterflies and birds. Twisp was about 20 minutes away and a local told us about a good swimming lake which was about 20 minutes from there. Twisp was inviting and had neat shops and a GREAT market I recommend visiting before you leave to pick up a high quality olive oil from there self serve station in the wine cellar.
Charlie was a responsive and helpful communicator :)

Listening to the river and the birds chirping each day. Such a peaceful, beautiful piece of land. We ventured out to a couple of nearby lakes for some swimming and enjoyed the drives both North and South. The area is majestic.
Charlie built the best camp toilet you'll come across. :)

It was very private and lots of space! The river was down a steep embankment, but accessible. Lots of other lakes and rivers near by.
