Our 800 sq ft barn (plus a full loft above for sleeping) is perfect for family gatherings! Totally renovated, and complete with a dining table, chairs, sofas, counter space, etc. Plenty of space for RVs or trailers in front or along the side. Can accommodate up to 16 people (extra $4 per person over 6 people.) Bathroom is an outhouse directly behind (completely emptied and sanitized between guests) and fresh, delicious well water comes from a spigot next to the barn. There are several outlets and lights, RV power hook-up. Land surrounding the barn is flat, and tents can be set up on the grass. Perfect for outside games, trees for shade and hammocks, fire pit, and swing. The barn is near our house and shop. There are no neighbors, as a cemetery occupies all the space next to the barn. It is a wonderful, old cemetery - great for walking dogs off leash or exercising. Please, no more than 2 dogs. We adhere to the strictest guidelines on cleaning and disinfecting between guests. You will love your comfortable stay with us!
Don't forget to add firewood! Our kids would love to get a big wagon full ready for you for only $5! You can also buy it anytime during your visit.

Great weekend trip in a cool barn
We had a great experience staying at the comfy barn! We weren't sure what to expect going into it, but came away happy that we gave it a try. Sue was a wonderful host! We were greeted by the sweetest black dog when we showed up and loved anytime she came by to say hello. The barn was recently renovated and looked great! The flooring upstairs was very well done and was a great place to set up our air mattresses, plenty of space for many people. The downstairs had plenty of seating with the couches and a nice large table for card games and eating. The fire pit was perfect for sitting around and letting fires burn at night using the wood that was provided. The out house was new for us lol but we were able to quickly figure it. Overall, we were very happy with the preparation Sue put in to make our experience as comfortable as could be. We would love to come back again some day!
A great option for portland
We're thrilled to be one of the first to use this renovated barn and love the space. One word of warning: close the upstairs doors before sundown or you'll have unexpected bats visit!
Perfect weekend getaway in the.
We had the best weekend gateway in the little barn! It was a hot weekend in the high 80°’s to 90° but the barn kept pretty cool! We loved the property and everything about it, so did our dogs running around off leash! They had a little sweet lab who greeted us and would hang out with our dogs some through the weekend which we loved! The fire pit was another great bonus! We will definitely be back. Sue and her kids were so sweet always!
The barn was fantastic and had everything we needed. The fire pit was nice, we spent the night watching the fire and stars. Strolling through the cemetery was interesting although our dog was spooked.
Beautiful barn w/ beautiful people
Amazing stay! Sue and Evan were so so so incredibly welcoming! They made our first hipcamp experience one we will remember! Their barn is beautiful and they have a friendly little lab that will come say hi! Thank you both so much for making my send off from Oregon possible during these uncertain times!
Sue and her whole family were incredibly welcoming and wonderfully available - though not overbearing or over present. The property is tree-lined, bordered by a cemetery (one of the graves has lights at night which was unexpected but cool). It was great for our group. The barn was a great resource and would be excellent if there was rain - a reality in the PNW. Toilet is a necessity for us, and worked without a hitch. Ultimately the site is on their driveway, but if you’re itching for privacy, that would be possible depending on your setup. Plenty Of space for tent camping, a wooded area where a hammock or two could be sprung up. One of our group crashed in the barn. Thank you, Sue! We loved meeting Maizy and staying on the property and wish you all the best!
Our large, extended family had a great gathering at the barn. The property is flat for tents but nice in the barn too, which was also a great place to sleep. We did have a bat drop in for a quick visit in the loft, heightening the adventure for the kids. It didn't stay so not a problem. The facility was very clean and the hosts seemed very nice. We heard a Great-Horned Owl at night. A lovely camp-site.
Hidden gem! will be back!!
We had a great time, the cabin was even cuter and bigger than I thought it would be! Very quiet and peaceful. Sue was very welcoming and kind, lovely host family! And Maisie, “the Black Dog Woods” mascot was adorable and very friendly, she was so sweet! The loft was my favorite with the opening doors! Very spacious and comfortable, The fire pit outside was a great way to wind down at night, wood delivered right to the spot! Very accommodating 😊
