Great stay!
The tent sites were great, write down on the Columbia river. You could hear the fish, jumping at night, but otherwise quiet and serene. The winery on the other hand, had some excellent wines, and Bart knows all of them intimately, so make sure you get a tasting while you’re there!

Beautiful property...but some confu
Cons- There was some confusion at check in. The campground is basically the vineyard or grass in front of the winery. No picnic tables or bbq or real designated sites even if we chose to camp by the winery except for next to the croquet. There is not showers as described. We preferred down on the lake however no picnic tables or bathrooms down below. Very long gravel narrow steep road from main highway to the winery. Now the pros- It is a beautiful winery with great wine and tons of canned goods for sale. They have a super nice spot to play croquet and have a great happy hour on Fridays. They are very nice hosts and they do have one large bbq to cook on close to winery. Down by the water is beautiful however road needs to be mowed down a bit. If we stay here again I would definetly want to stay on the water again we caught large trout and it's nice and cleared out from debris and a nice swimming spot. I would recommend china bend the grounds are gorgeous and super clean!!! Next time i would bring some fold up tables and more garbage bags.. We had a great time. We will for sure be back

Not being familiar with the area and wanting to explore, booked 2 nights at what we thought would be remote, quiet, place plus wine! We found a beautiful property and friendly hosts. From our camp spot, it was a short walk through gate and woods down to gorgeous Rosevelt lake/Columbia river (dam alters official name and not sure where one precisely stops and starts). As to camp spot, allowing camping on this estate feels like an afterthought as there are no defined spots nor are campers really disbursed on property. We were kindly shown to a shaded grassy area near perimeter of lawn to set up. Had imagined being more dispursed (19 acres) but was open to experience what was offered and learn about the area so not a problem. Prepurchased wine tasting and a bottle of wine when booking. Arrived to discover winery was sold out of whites (personal preference) and was handed a bottle of red Roosevelt as though that had been pre-selected. Kept an open mind, sampled some great reds and even purchased an additional bottle. First night, grounds people smoked weed and beat the drums quietly until about 9:30pm. Our camp area was realitvily peaceful, stars lit the sky, crickets chirped. Second night, family/friends of estate celebrated a Birthday party...until 1:45am. Having a host allow and/or facilitate high levels of noise to continue past 10pm without pre warning anyone prior to booking was a disappointment. Other campers also were shocked. Truly believe hosts were just doing their thing but feel more transparent communication is warrented during booking process.. No white wine (at a winery pre-selling tastings), loose dogs (very friendly), no set quiet time (inconsiderate). Travelers not familiar with area, note property is about 45 minutes from Kettle Falls and 20 from Northport, both very small towns with few businesses. The surrounding countryside is stunning and untouched compared to much of the State. Our next stay in this area will be a bit more private and we'll bring our own drinks.

Serene, quiet
The host was very nice and pointed us to the perfect camp spot on a rainy day. We got there late around 7, but the host was still able to set us up.

What a gem in Northern, WA. We were greeted by friendly faces, beautiful grounds, and a truly wonderful and giving community. Tasting the wine while learning about the history of the winery from Bart was an absolute delight, and so interesting. A gorgeous view, dip in the river, fresh picked cherries, and a glass of wine - I couldn't have picked a better way to spend the evening.
