Get off the grid and retreat to the farm! We live off an old abandoned logging road between two timbered mountains. Up and down the logging road are incredible hiking and biking trails, where we ourselves engage in primitive trail running every day! We often stop at one of the shallow, icy creeks along the way and jump in for a quick cold plunge before running the rest of the way home.
Back on the farm after an invigorating hike, you can walk up the hill to our custom-designed wood-fired Russian sauna. Nothing beats ending a long day in the woods with a relaxing night at the sauna! If cold plunges really are your thing, we suggest going down the hill behind the sauna to plunge in the little creek, or just stick your head under the ice-cold spigot outside the sauna building. Sauna passes are available year round, and upon arrival campers will be asked to fill out a liability release form.
We have a hot/cold shower and toilet in the sauna building which is available to all campers 24/7. For campers farther afield, portable toilets are recommended for convenience.

Our farm is completely off-grid and runs on solar and generator power, so electric power is limited. There are two sites with limited power available, and one also has a septic hook-up. These sites are available first-come, first-served and have an additional service fee.
You may periodically hear the property generator fire up to add power to the farm’s battery banks. We work hard to plan this for non-invasive times.
There are a variety of tent camping sites around the farm ranging from field (excellent for groups that want to establish a large community eating tent), to forest hike-in sites and a few drive-in spots as well.
Campfires are welcomed! If your site does not yet have a fire pit established, we welcome you to dig one where it is convenient for you. For burying fires, we have a stash of shovels in the woodshed and you can check one out to keep at your campsite if you didn’t happen to bring one.
We have wood + kindling boxes with refills available for purchase.
We have five water spigots around the property with fresh mountain water available to campers.

We are surrounded by Pacific Northwest forest which means ferns, elderberries, huckleberries and blackberries in the undergrowth, and cedar, hemlock, alder and more rising up about us. Songbirds abound in season! The huge old growth stumps all around remind us of the towering, ancient forest that once grew here and some still have the hundred-year-old marks of the old logging equipment used to fell them. One of our ongoing projects on the farm is to restore native plants, raise heritage breeds of animals and promote heirloom plant propagation, and we invite any questions or ideas you bring!
In the summer we sometimes hear people riding ATVs through the prolific hill trails around the area. We also occasionally hear (ourselves or a neighbor or a logging crew) chainsaws running in the summer as everyone prepares firewood for the winter, and clears overgrown roads. It’s just part of the life out here!
We are naturally blessed with the seasonal pests of the woods, be sure to prepare your bug spray if you are coming in the summer!

Our farm is home to chickens, ducks and turkeys. We also have two very friendly Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs that patrol the property freely, and several farm cats.
Be advised that our livestock guardian dogs bark periodically throughout the night and day to warn away predators and keep us and our livestock safe. They are not locked up as this would, of course, make them useless at protecting us from predators. Owing to this, and also to the nature of the woods being home to bear, cougar, bobcat, coyote, beaver, deer and many other wonderful regenerative wildlife, we strongly suggest keeping food in a closed cooler or in your vehicle.
Thanks to the vigilance of our dogs, we have not encountered any predators here on the land, but you may still find them in the surrounding woods. The dogs tend to stay close to the house to guard their “flock” (us, and the livestock).
Seasonally, we have a Farm Market open, and we are always happy to show you around the bird pens and talk about animals. In the spring, you may be able to help milk a cow if that’s something you’d enjoy!

I was so excited to arrive to this beautiful space. The drive up the forest road alone prepares you for much needed seclusion from the bustling world. Then I arrived and it is even more exquisite than the photos Andrea (host) included on the site. Immense peace and serenity are felt upon arrival and I was greeted by the sweetest family (including two AMAZING doggos). Chickens and turkeys roam freely but didn’t bother me, as I was chatting with the family one even let me pick her up! (A chicken, that is!) I enjoyed some sauna time and a couple of solo forest walks, the air out here is so pure and refreshing. Babbling creeks and scurrying wildlife (bunnies and such) enhance the forest experience. The most hospitable, yet still serenely private, camping experience I have yet to enjoy. I truly asked Andrea if I could stay forever! This gem is a must see for anyone that enjoys nature and outdoor experiences.

Staying here has been an absolute dream. From the smiling sweet pups to the cold creek plunges and trail runs. This has been such a magical little spot for our family to go and get away from it all. Andrea and Gary are the most gracious, and accommodating hosts you could ask for and their kids and our son loved playing together. I can’t wait to come back and stay again soon!

well, I'm crying now, so thanks for that. Loved having your fam and our home is your home any time.
Narnia with a sauna? i think yes.
This was magic. The family has been one of the most hospitable hosts I’ve met thus far! They were super fast at responding to my questions leading up to our time there, as well as while we stayed. Also, friends, three words; fire burning sauna. Yes, they have that and it’s amazing and clean and so cozy. It was our little off the grid Narnia experience. We had firewood cut and ready at our site, we had kindling offered (because well, not everyone is a Boy Scout), we took advantage of local eggs add on for breakfast, and we talked their ear off about hikes within the property. There are two giant dogs that look like polar bears that protect the farm (and you) and are the sweetest of baby angels— we were so lucky to find this place and to stay a weekend there. We will def be back thanks so much you two, your home is beautiful!

WOW so grateful for your visit and all your kind words, we loved having you here and look forward to welcoming you back!!!! Thank you for all your thoughtfulness!!!!!!!! P.S. Narnia with a Sauna? did you just name the farm!? I LOVE IT!!
Wonderful property! The hosts were so friendly!
We really enjoyed our stay. What's better than camping in the forest and hiking in the woods? Camping, hiking, and SAUNA! The sauna was incredible!
It rained really hard during our stay so we were glad to have mud boots, and a few times in the night the livestock dogs did their job with some barking. It wasn't troublesome for our family, but might be if you're really noise sensitive.

We loved having you guys!! Your kids are amazing and professional campers!!!! Ryan is a boss at splitting wood. Thank you for your kind words!!!
A wonderful tucked away campsite, with equally wonderful hosts!
The hosts responded quickly to any questions we had and were very friendly to our party.

The best hosts at a great location
What an awesome place. The hosts are fabulous and really take the extra effort to ensure we had everything we needed and that we were happy. I'll stay here over and over again. They even have amenities like a sauna and shower...though i did not have time to take advantage.

thank you SO much for your gracious review!!! We loved having you here and really appreciate all your kindness. You are an amazing guest and camper and we look forward to hosting you again ANY time!!!!!!!
Exceeded all expectations!! amazing
This place is a dream! The property is gorgeous and you feel so far away from everything after the long drive through the woods. Andrea is an incredible host and made us feel so at home. She truly went above and beyond and our stay exceeded all expectations. Oh and the sauna.... it’s incredible. I felt like I was at my own private spa in the woods. I can not wait to return. If you have the chance to stay here don’t hesitate, once word gets out it’ll be impossible to get a reservation!

AWW Thank you!!!!!! I LOVED meeting you 2!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for visiting and staying and enjoying!!! Cannot wait to have you back <3
We had such a delightful time camping at Andrea's property. Our campsite had a fire ring, easy access to water, and we placed our tent near the edge of a pond. The sauna was everything we dreamed of and more. It was lightly raining during our stay and it was refreshing to jump out of the sauna into the rain. The area around the property had a lot to explore. Andrea was super helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions and needs. Highly recommend!
