Rustic camp spot near at Snoqualmie
Adequate place to sleep in your car
We were looking for a place to park and sleep in our vehicle. This worked for us, although the directions off the main road were confusing in the dark. We actually found an ok spot to park. Finding the campsite in the dark would have been impossible.
If you are camping in a tent, look elsewhere. There are stumps throughout the campsite, making pitching a tent unfeasible.

One night only
The campsite was very private and definitely rustic as the title of the site represents. The location had a lot of tree stumps that would make pitching even a 2 man tent very difficult. The wood pile was pushed over and the rustic bench was non-useable as the wood stack had fallen on it.
We were luckily camping out of the back of my truck making this situation much easier to deal with. There was a small pullout area just past the campsite that made the situation feasible for us to camp otherwise we would’ve needed to park on the dirt road which may not be an issue as traffic on the road seems To be a mute point.
If you are looking for a place to pitch a tent and stay awhile to relax and enjoy nature keep driving as this wouldn’t be the ideal place. However if you just want to pull off the road and get some shut eye in your vehicle and then keep driving it’s the perfect place.

No place to set up a tent
My daughter and I arrived at the site by bike after riding up the Palouse to Cascades Trail. We had no trouble finding the site, but getting from the dirt road down to the clearing was challenging since there was no discernible path. We looked around the small clearing for a while but were unable to find a reasonable spot to set up our (relatively small) 2-person tent. Most of the clearing was covered with small stumps and the few spots where a tent might have fit were quite steep. We eventually decided to continue up the road to Denny Creek Campground (which thankfully still had some empty spots). Unless the hosts clear out a flatter spot or level part of the existing clearing, I would not recommend this site.
