Set on 7 acres of beautiful forest near the Salish, sounds of songbird, owls, eagles, hawks, ravens, coyotes, and the distant ancient conversations of the beach- sea-birds, ocean currents and waves. This place has a way of holding and allowing us to slow down and remember the things that matter most.

The whale hut is a 12x8 open air cabin/sleep structure and nestled on the edge of the forest. It has a 6X8 foot plywood platform bed (bring your own bedding) supplied with mosquito net protection (although there are not many bugs to speak of here). Facing west with wooded view and a sliver of the Salish sea and sunset colors. In the foreground. There will be a few cars parked out in front, one will be yours, yet the magic still feels preserved.

The beach is a 5-10 min walk and there are great trails nearby for hiking or running with gorgeous views and deeper forest adventuring. We are near the Willows Inn too, if you'd like to treat yourself to special meal. The Beach-Store Cafe near the ferry is a sweet little place to get a burger or pizza with view of Mt Baker. Island views from this land include: Cypres, Orcas, Clark, Matia, Sucia and the Canadian Gulf islands and the most amazing sunsets.

We are inspired by Permaculture, Yoga, Contact Improv Dance, Song Circle, Eating good food, and self-inquiry... A Place to slow down and Remember what really matters to you. Paul, Chelsea and  Lizzie live on the land and share the outdoor kitchen. , there is a rustic cold shower for those of you who appreciate a cold rinse. (:  Water is limited in summer, so please use wisely.

The three of us are mostly around and Chelsea's 2 and 1/2 year old daughter, Simone is often with us too. We will make effort to at least meet you, yet there is space to have a more private experience if that is what you want. We appreciate privacy and honoring other's their space too, and we enjoy meeting new people too. It maybe that it organically flows to share a meal or time together, but there is ample space for taking solo time time if the is your medicine.
