Come live the glamping lifestyle in one of only 30 - 35ft Airstream RVs every made!
In it's past life it was used as an undercover surveillance vehicle for the government!
It's tucked away in the woods with views of the sound and Mount Rainier. So quiet, safe and tranquil. Just 1 mile from the beach and 2 miles from Burton restaurants. There are hiking trails all over the neighboring forests.
The kitchen is fit for a chef, with 12ft countertop, large sink, 2 burner stove, spices and oils ready to be used. Full sized shower and a california king bed with mattress heaters! Indoor fireplace to set the mood and read a book. Outdoor fire pit and BBQ as well.
We gutted it and have been renovating it for the past 3 years! It's a 1992 so it has a newer industrial modern look with some quirks of the 90s!

The vibe at Airstream Lodge
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Do yourself a favor and take a trip to Vashon Island to stay at the Airstream Lodge! This was the perfect retreat from Seattle - a short drive and a 20 minute ferry ride, and you're transported to peaceful island life. Mario greeted us when we arrived, giving us a quick tour and some history on the airstream, which used to be used for FBI surveillance! He also introduced us to the landowner and was able to give a ton of recommendations for food, wine, and sight-seeing on the island - we're already planning a trip back to try all the amazing restaurants he recommended! The airstream sits on a wide, open piece of land with a beautiful view of the water. It also has a firepit and BBQ outside, which will be awesome in the summer! The interior is spacious and beautiful - Mario has truly paid attention to every corner, adding in details like succulents, cozy blankets, dried lavender, candles, etc. Plenty of seating in the front, with a large kitchen area (full sink, butane stove top, mini fridge, Keurig and French Press, pots, pans, spices, and more) and a bathroom (full shower and toilet) and bedroom in the bed. The KING SIZE bed is heated and has panoramic views of the forest around you, plus a TV! We didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. It rained for our whole trip, but that just made it even cozier! This was the perfect place to hole up & relax, and we can only imagine how great it will be in the summer. We also enjoyed some delicious coffee, food, and window shopping in the main part of town before getting back on the ferry to head home. Will recommend this to everyone needing a peaceful getaway, and will be back ourselves!
This Airstream Lodge was a dream! Everything was so beautiful and thoughtful. I want to stay here at least once a year! This was such an inspiring place, super well decorated, the location is perfect! You have to ride a ferry to the Island which is such a fun experience. This was one of the best hipcamp locations I have ever been to. Don't even think twice, just book it before it's sold out! Love this place to much! Also, Mario was very nice and helpful and answered quickly to any questions I had. All around everything was perfect, wouldn't change a thing!
The Airstream is INCREDIBLE. They have done such a fantastic job of redoing it. It was very clean and comfortable. We really loved the space. The only downside, which we didn't realize from the pictures, is that it is NOT private. You are less than 20yards away from a house. On the night we stayed they had guests over with a fire pit going and it seemed as though there were having a fantastic time. It just wasn't quite the serene experience we were hoping for looking over the cliff at the water, with strangers looking over at you frequently.
