Didn’t know what to expect and were happily surprised. Parked right next to the tasting room and what a beautiful setting —even though it is just a parking lot. Nice and level space. We sat out on the lighted patio every evening and enjoyed a glass of wine while looking out over the vineyards to the mountains. They even had a fire one night in the fire pit. Busy in the evenings but quiet. . Very nice hosts but also gave us our space. We will definitely go back

Hipcamp we would like to let you know that for us going to White Barrel was an awful experience at all.
We arrived yesterday 9/1/2019 at 4 PM, we went to the tasting room as indicated in the website and when we asked for the camping zone or when we could install our tent, the answer from the person was “oh this is the first time I see people that will camp in a tent, this is weird, people usually come here in a van or RV, let me check what I can do for you”. So we say: is this place or not for camping on a tent? She said, yes but I’m not sure where you can install the tent. Definitively it is NOT a place for camping on a tent. Then, a man came to us and showed us a place very behind of the trees on when we could camp supposedly, but it definitely was not a place for that. There were no flat areas for camping on a tent and it was next to a kind of Warehouses or working areas at the winery. A totally ugly place to camp. Is that the beautiful place to camp? Near to vineyard as promised on the web site?
We chose this place because we wanted a good experience and it is well recommended on the only review that the website is showing. We were so confused and we could not imagine to stay in there the night. It was scary just to think about it. The host never offered a good service on that place, or asked how we were, nobody on that place was able to provide a good service or good information about the camping service that they say they have, nobody was able to offer water or anything. We were going around and around trying to find a good place to install our tent, we really tried it but it was impossible, we felt so abandoned on that place. We also tried to order some food, making time to solve the things out, but also what we ordered never came in, we received a thing totally from what we had ordered. Anyway, that’s another story. But we just wanted to make clear that we tried it. So, we finally left around 1 hour later.
This ruined our Labor weekend, we had high expectations about this place but they do not have the proper spots or service for camping on that place, on a tent so please do not say online that you have that. It is not just about to offer a spot for camping, it is the whole experience what is being offered on the website. This is totally disappointing.
We could have camped on our backyard if this was about to find a spot for just camping.
Please do not tell people this is a place for camping on a tent, because it is not. Maybe for vans and RVs it is, but not for tents.

Hipcamp please verify the information you post on the Hipcamp website.
    Do not make disappointed customers.
