Virginia Free Farm Our Mission is to provide FREE nutritious, responsibly produced healthy food to our neighbors in need. Our growing methods take the lead from mother nature & we honor the indigenous methods of controlled burn, natural animal soil disruption, & companion planting in order to most responsibly care for ecosystem we are a part of. We believe each one of us should be a steward of the earth & our fellow man acting deliberately to live with veracity, beneficence, and fidelity. Learn more about this land: Mini farm 501c3 non profit w/ lots of cute animals, pigs, pheasants, chickens, and ducks, gardens, fruit trees, fire pit, &  hammock. We have an open field for camping, and a fire pit area. You can feed the animals, and dine from fresh produce grown right here organically. We are near MANY wineries, and just a short drive to the blue ridge for sight seeing. Cooking area, tables, benches, cookware & utensils included for your use.  Visit us & help feed those in need, preserve heirloom veggie cultivars, and provides children with educational experiences centering around indigenous agriculture.     My kids love it here!
    We came with a 5 and 3 year old and they had the best time climbing trees and being close to the farm animals. Also a clean bathroom (important!).

    Meadow views are beautiful. Didn't use any of the facilities as we were self contained in our RV. Spicy jelly is delicious! Note that room for larger RV's is extremely limited.

    A Wonderful Country Retreat
    We enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Virginia Free Farm We located our 20 ft travel trailer in the open grass field behind the farm house and adjacent to the stone fire pit with plenty of room to spare. The trees and other farm buildings on site gave us ample seclusion and privacy. We loved the quiet farm atmosphere and being surrounded by the unobtrusive sounds of the farm animals, even the distant crowing of the roosters at sunrise. The hosts were kind, helpful, and generous as we would see them out and about working with the gardens and animals in pens distributed throughout the property. They were good at giving us our space but always available and ready to explain the workings of their farm and the many local benevolences and people in need they so graciously serve. Their amenities were exactly as described in their listing. The gift of fresh eggs on our last morning was a special treat. We would certainly stay here again.
