The Peaceful Glen Homestead is open and taking in all Hipcampers. This note  provides a description of our site. We offer primitive tent camping from (2) sites on the property. They are spaced out over 10 acres of forested woodland. Each site is provided with a fire pit and fire wood. However, we offer a common area with a large fire pit and rustic seating around the fire. Evening conversations and programs are a regular occurrence at the commons area. Our sites are laid out and designed to give campers a choice of extreme seclusion or close proximity to open pastured areas. Our campsites are large and capable of supporting a family-sized tent. When the trees are in full foliage they offer maximum privacy if other campers are on site as well. All of our campsites are connected by a series of trails that meander through the woodlands.

Such a beautiful countryside getaway! The campsites are a drive back into the woods next to beautiful fields and ponds. Amenities include an outdoor bathroom, fire pits and walking trails. We even found a handy ax for splitting wood!

We had a very pleasant stay on Greg's property. We wanted a quick getaway camping experience without having to travel/trek too far and this met the mark!

There was plenty of wood (fallen limbs and whatnot) to make and keep a fire going. The cooler with water was a really nice touch too which we greatly appreciated. The proximity of the property to the rail yard is my only minor complaint, although that is outside the control of Greg of course and I do not fault him for that. The sounds of scraping metal and trains at all times of the night didn't provide the most peaceful, woodsy experience, but we also knew we were sacrificing certain elements of that by not traveling all the way to the mountains. I would just recommend bringing ear plugs :)

Thank you for your hospitality Greg!
