We had a great stay at The Country, LLC -- particularly, the campsite that Dean calls "The Bluff." We felt like we had tons of privacy and were unaware of campers at the next site over. ,We had a great time building a fire and star gazing (the star gazing was exceptional)! Dean and his wife Dana were very nice and accommodating. Definitely planning to return again in the future.
The setting of this farm is exceptional. We were alongside a babbling creek on the edge of a field with adequate shade. Our photos look like they were ripped out of a magazine. The stars at night were so bright! Our host was so nice from beginning to end, it just doesn’t get better than this! A few more weeks and the leaves will be even more beautiful. My family was able to hike the Appalachian Trail to Mcafee Knob, which had been one of the reasons for our trip. The trail winds in and around and that trailhead was not very far of a drive. We were able to have our 2 dogs and 2 other family members dogs with enough room and privacy to be extra enjoyable for them. Thanks Dean! We loved our stay and plan on returning soon.
This place is absolutely fantastic and we are totally coming back. Dean was incredibly communactive and helpful and set us up with everything we needed. The spot was gorgeous, perfect flat land for campin surrounded by mountains and the grounds are sprawling and beautiful. We were situated at the "Creek Kabana" spot and it eas lovely, right next to the river with a firepit and nice flat ground. 10/10 recommend and like I said we'll be back!
Dean was great! He made sure we knew exactly where to go and set us up right for the evening. Will definitely be returning. This place seems like the perfect getaway throughout the seasons.
Unfortunately, before our stay there was a ton of rain and flooding so the creek was very high, but we still had a fantastic stay. Dean and his wife were awesome. Kind, easy going, hospitable and ready to help however we needed. We stayed at the Creekacabana site and it was beautiful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice, private and peaceful camping experience.
Gorgeous river side camping
such a beautiful site - we loved our riverside spot surrounded by glistening hayfields for as far as the eye could see. It was clean and peaceful and the host were wonderful to meet with. We will be back!
Beautiful property secluded camping
We were looking for something secluded and not your typical state park camping spot. Coming from the city, we wanted to unplug and just unwind in nature.
The spot that we selected was perfect as it was 4WD accessible, back in the woods near a nice stocked fish pond. Perfect for our 8 year old to learn how to fish.
We happened to arrive during the year when the cicadas emerged from their 17 year slumber, so the sometimes not-so-dull drone of the cicadas made it all the more interesting. We made the best and used some as good bait for fishing.
Couldn't be more satisfied with the congenial nature of the hosts with frequent communication over the app and during our visit to answer all of our questions.
We already plan to return in the fall when the leaves change and the temps cool down.
Thanks again, D&D.
If you're looking for a place that lets you disconnect surrounded by private, natural beauty look no further.
The property was beautifully kept, and each campsite has something unique to offer.
Dean and Donna are fantastic hosts! When we ran out of firewood they delivered it right to us on their ATV. We also got to go on a tour of the grounds to check out the ADORABLE cows (hi, Sugar!) and scout out the different sites available to camp on for next time. There will definitely be a next time : )
