Lauren was an amazing host and the farm is beautiful, remote, and has everything needed to fulfill basic needs. There were very friendly and loving animals there which was a nice plus for us! I would absolutely stay again if I’m in the area!
Beautiful farm a
Absolutely beautiful! My brother and I rode our motorcycles into the campsite during our trip and we could not be happier.
Lauren helped me through text before arrival and Eric greeted us to show us the bathroom and campsite.
I will definitely stay here again if I am coming through.
Great spot to get away. My primary destination was Virginia Tech campus for my son's orientation, the farm was about a 30 minute drive. Took a few minutes to find a flat spot to pitch my tent, think of this as wilderness camping as opposed to a traditional campground. Wildlife is everywhere, I'll definitely be coming back, much better alternative to hotels in Blacksburg.
The Blue Horn was such a great campsite and Lauren was a fantastic host. She was incredibly responsive and helpful in making sure we had the information we needed ahead of our arrival. The campsite is in a nice clearing and just a short walk to the bathroom at the house. Bonus in the basement bathroom is a sweet, very loving cat who was all about the snuggles. The farm itself is absolutely beautiful too. It’s a pretty short drive to both Blacksburg and McAfee Knob, so a great spot no matter what you’re in the area for. We’ll definitely stay again the next time we’re there.
