About Sweet Cider Cabin
Charming 1 bedroom farmhouse that has been turned into a studio cabin, owned by an artist/photographer. Cabin is on a working farm (19 acres) beside a mountain spring (complete with a happy duck family) and within walking distance to our creek. 10 minutes from downtown Floyd with an easy-access driveway. We raise mini dairy goats, chickens, rabbits and have a menagerie of other farm animals on the property. WIFI is in the works but not completed as of yet (Aug 2017). Verizon cell service works out here.
Partial wrap-around porch, next to barn with friendly goats & chickens for petting. Small kitchenette with combo cook-top, coffeemaker and toaster oven & mini fridge. There's a loft in the cabin with a queen size floor mattress, and the living room area has a dining table for 4 + a sleeper sofa (full size)
Guests are free to walk the property, enjoy the creekside and meadows and spring/mini duck pond. We do have livestock protection dogs on the property and ask that you do not feed them or try to pet them. There's a small baggy of food in the cabin to feed the ducks & chickens, if you would like, but please do not feed the other farm animals as they have specific diets.
We live on the property in a separate home. We are home almost every day, and will be tending animals/gardening/other farm chores/etc daily, but we are happy to stay out of your way and let you enjoy your visit.
