Charming 1 bedroom cabin, previously an original chicken coop from the 1930s! owned by an artist/photographer. Cabin is on a working farm (19 acres) beside a mountain spring (complete with a happy duck family) and within walking distance to our creek. 10 minutes from downtown Floyd with an easy-access driveway. We raise mini dairy goats, chickens, rabbits and have a menagerie of other farm animals on the property. WIFI is in the works but not completed as of yet (Aug 2017). Verizon cell service works out here.
Partial wrap-around porch, next to barn with friendly goats & chickens for petting. Small kitchenette with combo cook-top, coffeemaker and toaster oven & mini fridge. There's a loft in the cabin with a queen size floor mattress, and the living room area has a dining table for 4 + a sleeper sofa (full size)
Guests are free to walk the property, enjoy the creekside and meadows and spring/mini duck pond. We do have livestock protection dogs on the property and ask that you do not feed them or try to pet them. There's a small baggy of food in the cabin to feed the ducks & chickens, if you would like, but please do not feed the other farm animals as they have specific diets.
We live on the property in a separate home. We are home almost every day, and will be tending animals/gardening/other farm chores/etc daily, but we are happy to stay out of your way and let you enjoy your visit.

The vibe at Sweet Cider Cabin
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
I can't say enough good things about Sweet Cider Cabin! We visited the cabin in August and it was a great getaway. We shopped around and ate dinner in the quaint town of Floyd before heading to the cabin for the night. We brought our 11 month old along, and the cabin was perfect for us! The cabin is on a farm and we loved feeding the goats, chickens, horses, etc. It was truly "glamping" at it's finest! The host were the sweetest (and coolest) people! They came by and chatted with us for a while and then their kids came out to look after the animals. It made me want a farm! Would be a great spot to take older kids as well! The cabin was SO cute! Thoughtfully decorated and absolutely adorable. My husband loved watching the old Starwars movies on the VCR. It was truly a restful and fun stay at the Sweet Cider Cabin! Cannot recommend this little cabin enough! PS... I want to go back in the fall when we can build a fire in the fire pit and enjoy the leaves on the parkway!
