We are a small seed crop and community produce farm, with aspirations to become an artist and educational collective. We have 18 acres, mostly forest but some pasture. We have 3 dogs, 30 chickens, and 5 goats. Tents are allowed pretty much anywhere that someone wants to set up! We also have two covered sleeping spots, one octagonal hut and one second-story lookout. Or, spend a night in our farm store cottage, complete with full-size bed, half-bath, air conditioning, and kitchenette. There is an opportunity for either complete privacy or social interaction with us and our friends and farm workers. We have a large fire ring behind our house for public use. Music and hiking are encouraged, or we could organize a farm work-day if anyone wants to lend a hand!
The town of Farmville is home to the High Bridge Trail State Park, 33 miles of easy hiking or biking with striking views from the bridge. We are located nearby Twin Lakes State Park and Holliday Lake State Park for more recreation activities. If you want to have a more private time, we have two kayaks to lend out and can point guests in the right direction to float down the Appomattox River.
