In addition, Lake Laura is also just 3 miles away for fishing, boating, hiking, beach and swimming. PLEASE READ THIS PARAGRAPH CAREFULLY.  Your stay at Rendezvous Farm, a 16-acre working hobby farm bordering George Washington National Forest on 2 sides, offers you access to over 1 million acres of public land to play in. All of our PRIMITIVE PLUS sites border our horse pasture. We offer 2 wooded campsites (Sites 1-2) for RV units year round (NO WATER OR ELECTRIC HOOKUPS.) Site 2 is perfect if you are traveling with another camping group since there is room for another RV right next to it (2a). When RVs do not have these sites booked, tent campers may book them.  Sites 3, 4, 5 and 6 are walk in tent only wooded sites. Parking is at the main house unless sites 1 or 2 are unoccupied. We can help get your gear to the tent sites in our tractor bucket. Hiking trails begin just a few yards from the campsites! Our small run-off pond is close to all sites and is part of our wildlife habitat so please no swimming. We have a nice bluegill population for catch and release only fishing for the kids.  All sites are close to our neighbor so we request quiet time from dark to dawn.  FOR YOUR SAFETY, THAT OF YOUR PETS AND OUR ANIMALS, PLEASE READ THE RULES AND SAFETY SECTION.

Rendezvous Farm is also within an hour of several caverns, two civil war battlefields, the Shenandoah Civil War Museum and the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah River. The Appalachian Trail is a half hour drive from the farm. This area has much more to offer. Feel free to inquire about what interests you.

The site was perfect for our tent and our friends' tent. We stayed at site 1 or 2 (can't remember which), and were able to park very close to the site, so we didn't have to walk our stuff in. Picnic table close to the fire ring with plenty of provided firewood. Directions were perfect, though our GPS took us in from a different direction, so we had to translate a little. The toilet was a portable poop-bucket in a small tent, but they did their best to make it private, and cleaned it out after our first night.
The hosts were extremely kind and generous with their property and the animals were fun for our kids to visit. Overall, would stay again.

We booked this campsite when all of the sites at nearby Wolf Gap Recreation Site (National Forest) were already full - a great decision! The hosts are lovely and helpful, the farm is very peaceful (beautiful horses), and our campground near the pond had plenty of space for 2 tents (there are several campsites varying in size, a few families were also there). We brought our dogs (allowed on leash), they had firewood available, we had a great time. Know that you will probably be woken up by roosters, this is a farm! We would definitely come back.

We had a great time at Rendezvous Farm. Allen and Peggy were welcoming and worked to make sure we had everything we needed. They allowed us to pick our campsite since there were no other campers.

It is a very primative campsite - poop tent for a toilet and a bit of a walk to get running water. But that's made up for by a beautiful setting, quiet and secluded, lots of room for kids to run around. We hope to return again!

Peggy and Allen were so nice and welcoming! The site was private minus the horse neighbors. It was so great that we could bring our dog. The best part was the fresh eggs!
