Find us on Facebook at @campatrendezvous. Please like our page and you'll find up to date info on our different sites. We'd love for you to send photos of your visit at Camp Rendezvous!

Purchase clean, fresh eggs from our free-range chickens for your camp breakfast; add in a variety of our home made rolls and muffins for a tasty country treat.  For a high-end dinner buy one of our farm raised rabbits to roast over your campfire supplied with FREE firewood.  Enjoy your meals while watching our horses graze in the adjoining pasture

After a great meal of farm raised products, step off the property into the George Washington National Forest to hike along the many trails or head over to Bryce Four Season Resort (only 4 miles away) for a full day of fun golfing, grass skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, zip lines, snow skiing, snow boarding, tubing and many other activities. In addition, Lake Laura is also just 3 miles away for fishing, boating, hiking, beach and swimming. Shenandoah Valley Music Festival is just 4 miles away and offers a variety of outdoor concerts during the summer weekends.  We'll let you know who's playing on our Facebook page.  After a full day of having fun, doze off to the sounds of the woodlands where you might hear an owl or a coyote or two.  But before you fall asleep, call your friends and tell them what a great day you had.  We have good cell service for most carriers.

Rendezvous Farm is also within an hour of several caverns, two civil war battlefields, the Shenandoah Civil War Museum, New Market Battlefield Military Museum and the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah River. The Appalachian Trail is a half hour drive from the farm. This area has much more to offer. We have brochures for many other nearby attractions.  Feel free to inquire about what interests you.

PLEASE READ THIS PARAGRAPH CAREFULLY.  Your stay at Rendezvous Farm, a 16-acre working hobby farm bordering George Washington National Forest on 2 sides, offers you access to over 1 million acres of public land to play in. The fee for this site is $30 per night for up to 4 people.  Up to 2 additional people can stay on the site for an additional $10 per person, per night.  For more than 6 people we recommend you reserve an additional camp site.  Site 4 is separated by the other camp sites by our pond and a section of pasture.  It's the best site for watching the horses as they graze the pasture.  This  PRIMITIVE PLUS site has access to the porta potty which is typically located near the other camp sites.  It is a TENT ONLY site reached by a short drive or walk (your choice) through the woods.  We provide FREE firewood but require that all fires are completely extinguished before retiring for the evening or leaving our property.  Six gallons of drinking water as well as water for drowning campfires is provided. Your site has a new picnic table too. Hiking trails begin just a few yards from the campsite! An excellent app to help you find the many public trails is ALLTRAILS.  We can direct you to short private trails near the campsite. ATTENTION:  Deer hunting season is Oct 31 through Nov 28, 2020.  If you are going to hike in the National Forest it is highly recommended that you wear state recommended florescent orange or florescent pink hat or vest. Our small run-off pond is part of our wildlife habitat so please no swimming. We have a nice bluegill population for catch and release only fishing for the kids.  All sites are close to our neighbor so we request quiet time from dark to dawn.  FOR YOUR SAFETY, THAT OF YOUR PETS AND OUR ANIMALS, PLEASE READ THE RULES AND SAFETY SECTION.  This is provided once you make a reservation.

Allen and Peggy were wonderful! We felt like we had privacy but they were always a phone call or text away if we needed anything. Lake Laura was beautiful and we enjoyed driving around the country sode. We took them up on their offer for rabbit and really enjoyed cooking it on the fire. They also always made sure we had enough water and fire wood. The toilet that is shared between the camp sites is a chemical bucket toilet in a small tent and was well maintained and clean. Our group was comprised of four male friends from DC, some with blue hair and some with dangly earrings etc and 3/4 were people of color. We felt super welcomed by both Peggy and Allen. Thank you!

Response from Allen & Peggy, the Host, on July 7th, 2020

It was great meeting everyone in your group! You were such fun visitors! I loved the shout out early Saturday morning when I was delivering eggs to another campsite and letting my horses out on pasture for the day. We would love to have you guys back out when your apartment starts getting too small again! :)

Beautiful little spot under the trees with a nice view of the field and pond, very relaxing and well set-up with firewood and water. Peggy was really kind and welcoming, and the kids really appreciated seeing the chickens and meeting the horses.

Peggy and Allen were very gracious hosts and the entire experience at site 4 at Rendezvous Farm was superb. They both went above and beyond in making everything so wonderful, e.g. cleanliness of the site, ample free firewood stacked on site, potable water at the site, and helpful hints on exploring the beautiful scenery in the area. Rendezvous Farms is off beaten road but a short drive to beautiful places like Lark Laura and hikes in the George Washington National Forest. This site is next to their hose pasture and the horses added to the ambience of the serene landscape. I was amazed with the serenity of the natural soundscape in the evening and bright starry skies above. The other sites are spaced several 100 meters apart, so everyone is afforded privacy and quiet. I took them up on the dozen fresh eggs from their free range chickens and enjoyed them for breakfast. Between the hospitality, tranquility, and beauty of the local area, I'll definitely plan on visiting Peggy and Allen and Rendezvous farm again soon.

Everything was perfect. Peggy and Allen are so nice, took time to introduce us to their horses and chickens and made sure we had plenty of water and firewood. It was amazing to wake up in the woods, sip my coffee and watch the horses, Sparky and Tootsie trot around snacking on acorns. Highly recommend and hope to camp their again someday.

We had a great stay here! Campsite 4 was a little more private than the others, which was perfect. Plenty of space for all 3 tents with room to spare. Peggy and Allen were welcoming and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Would book again!
