Find us on Facebook at @campatrendezvous. Please like our page and you'll find up to date info on our different sites. We'd love for you to send photos of your visit at Camp Rendezvous!

Purchase clean, fresh eggs from our free-range chickens for your camp breakfast; add in a variety of our home made rolls and muffins for a tasty country treat.  For a high-end dinner buy one of our farm raised rabbits to roast over your campfire supplied with FREE firewood.  Enjoy your meals while watching our horses graze in the adjoining pasture

After a great meal of farm raised products, step off the property into the George Washington National Forest to hike along the many trails or head over to Bryce Four Season Resort (only 4 miles away) for a full day of fun golfing, grass skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, zip lines, snow skiing, snow boarding, tubing and many other activities. In addition, Lake Laura is also just 3 miles away for fishing, boating, hiking, beach and swimming. Shenandoah Valley Music Festival is just 4 miles away and offers a variety of outdoor concerts during the summer weekends.  We'll let you know who's playing on our Facebook page.  After a full day of having fun, doze off to the sounds of the woodlands where you might hear an owl or a coyote or two.  But before you fall asleep, call your friends and tell them what a great day you had.  We have good cell service for most carriers.

Rendezvous Farm is also within an hour of several caverns, two civil war battlefields, the Shenandoah Civil War Museum, New Market Battlefield Military Museum and the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah River. The Appalachian Trail is a half hour drive from the farm. This area has much more to offer. We have brochures for many other nearby attractions.  Feel free to inquire about what interests you.

PLEASE READ THIS PARAGRAPH CAREFULLY.  Your stay at Rendezvous Farm, a 16-acre working hobby farm bordering George Washington National Forest on 2 sides, offers you access to over 1 million acres of public land to play in. The fee for this site is $30 per night for up to 4 people.  Up to 2 additional people can stay on the site for an additional $10 per person, per night.  For more than 6 people we recommend you reserve an additional camp site.  Site 2 is the largest site and can easily handle a RV. It is a back in site.  This  PRIMITIVE PLUS site is the only site not directly adjacent to the horse pasture.  Parking is on site. We provide FREE firewood but require that all fires are completely extinguished before retiring for the evening or leaving our property.  Six gallons of drinking water as well as water for drowning campfires is provided. Your site has a new picnic table too. Hiking trails begin just a few yards from the campsites! An excellent app to help you find the many public trails is ALLTRAILS.  We can direct you to short private trails near the campsite. ATTENTION:  Deer hunting season is Oct 31 through Nov 28, 2020.  If you are going to hike in the National Forest it is highly recommended that you wear state recommended florescent orange or florescent pink hat or vest. Our small run-off pond is part of our wildlife habitat so please no swimming. We have a nice bluegill population for catch and release only fishing for the kids.  All sites are close to our neighbor so we request quiet time from dark to dawn.  FOR YOUR SAFETY, THAT OF YOUR PETS AND OUR ANIMALS, PLEASE READ THE RULES AND SAFETY SECTION.  This is provided once you make a reservation.

Nice camp site. The neighbors were a little noisy. Really needed a picnic table. Host was friendly. Would stay here again.

Response from Allen & Peggy, the Host, on June 29th, 2020

Hey Wendy! Thanks for the review. Thanks for your input! We just started with HipCamp last fall and then COVID shut things down this Spring before we could even get open. We were given just a few days notice from our Governor that private campgrounds could reopen, so we did. My husband had back surgery, knee surgery AND a total knee replacement, so we haven't been able to put the picnic tables in place, but we will have them in the next week or two, before he goes in for hand surgery! It's been a crazy year! Please come back again and give us another try! We aims to please! :)

Allen and Peggy Could not have been better hosts!! We absolutely loved our weekend. They are attentive and very accommodating. The property is gorgeous.. We got to feed and pet the horses and allowed to go into their pen, with permission, and feed them carrots (One of my highlights) :)
I would recommend rendezvous farms 110 out of 10!
We are new to Hipcamp and this was our first visit. We could not have asked for a better hosts. Definitely returning in the near future

Allen and Peggy are very gracious hosts and have a beautiful property. They provide potable water, plenty of fire wood and fresh eggs for $3. Those items are not offered at other camp sites and are critical to a successful camping trip and they just give it to you. If you want total isolation, I recommend booking sites 1, 2 and 3. They are in close proximity to each other and you will be seen and heard by other campers. When we do return, which will 100% happen, we are going to book all three for total isolation and privacy. The site is also less than 10 minutes away from Bryce Resorts and Lake Laura for recreational activities. Rendezvous Farm is currently our favorite camp site and we can't wait to go back.

Excellent stay, nice spacing between sites, good tree cover for shade. Very short drive to Lake Laura (3 mile hike around, also available for swimming). Cell service if you have AT&T. Fresh eggs and plentiful firewood are a nice touch. Lots of farm animal noises including some active roosters which I found charming but could be difficult if you’re looking for a place to sleep in!

Allen and Peggy were so welcoming!! We arrived after it was already dark and they still came out there to greet us and even offered to help! Getting fresh eggs and a rabbit to roast was such a bonus.. plus our campsite was amazing!! Loved the wood stack we had waiting for us and while we didn't have to use the porta John on site because we have our own, I watched the owner go replinish and check it to keep it nice and clean!!! Definitely recommend their place.

Peggy and Allen we very kind and welcoming. They made sure to come down and meet us personally. Their place is beautiful and they provided us with water and drinking water. I had a bit of trouble finding it, simply because it is off of a dirt road, but the seclusion is part of the charm of the place. Would definitely camp here again!

Peggy and Allen are wonderful hosts and the campsites are very comfortable and private! Peggy and Allen gave us great advice for exploring a nearby lake and were very happy to talk with us about the area. We purchased one of the rabbits they sell and cooked it in a stew over the fire - it was delicious! We will definitely keep this site on our list of places to come back to.
