Enjoy complete serenity and privacy on 55 secluded acres with Blue Ridge Mountain and pastoral views only minutes to town. Sugarday Farm is a private horse farm set 3/4 of a mile off the main road with rolling pastoral land and Blue Ridge Mountain views. Site 1 is in a small field down by the swimming pond, with access to a large covered gazebo with gas grill and generator available. Site 2 is at the base of the pond near the beach and driveway. Sites 3 and 4 are at the top of the hill, you can choose to be in the woods or fields, the views are spectacular. These latter two sites are better if you are driving an RV as there is more turnaround space. All sites have access to a full bathroom including shower and toilet, available at the main house, a 5-minute walk or 2-minute drive away. The University of Virginia, Monticello and downtown Charlottesville are all nearby. We are less than 10-minute drive to all the amenities you might need. We are less than 30 minutes from Shenandoah National Park, Thomas Jefferson's house at Monticello, James Madison's house at Montpelier, James Monroe's house at Ash Lawn and about a zillion breweries, cideries, and vineyards.

Stephanie and Bob are awesome hosts and their property is beautiful! We arrived in the evening and we’re first greeted by a pair of beautiful horses that they train and care for on the property. The camp space was right next to a small pond with plenty of room for any size tent. There are hills on both sides so you really feel tucked away and secluded. Yet, if you need to use the restroom or shower a quick 2-3 minute walk to the house will get you there. Bob met us first and kindly showed us around the property and answered our questions. We later took a relaxing walk around the property and discovered some gorgeous views as the sun was setting. The pond really made the space more enjoyable. For warmer weather there is a small beach, kayaks, and even a zip line. One of the biggest things that made the property so cool was it’s proximity to the heart of Charlottesville, just a few minutes down the road, yet it was so peaceful and private you felt like you were out in the countryside.
Would definitely recommend staying here when in the area!
We weren’t sure what to expect as this was our first time using hipcamp but it turned out great! Our girls loved swimming in the lake and they caught plenty of fish. Sleeping next to the horses was a special treat and the bathroom was a pretty close walk. C-Ville is close enough that you can do just about anything you want. We really enjoyed our time here.
Already my second stay at this beautiful place near Charlottesville. if you want to camp with peace and calmness surrounding you but still want to be close to the city of Charlottesville, this is the place to be!
Stephanie and Bob were amazing hosts. They both came to check on my family and I several times during our stay. Ensuring that we had plenty of firewood and were comfortable. Their property is perfectly secluded from the city even though its less than 2 miles away. Highly encourage anyone to take advantage of this and check it out! The lake/pond was amazing our daughters were safe to swim the whole time they have a great sand beach area and its shallow enough for them to practice swimming. Adults are encourage to try out the zip line over the water it was a blast! Again, thank you Stephanie and Bob for being such great hosts!
Stephanie and Bob are amazing hosts. We reached the place late around 10 PM, they set up the place for us and even helped set up our tents. The place exactly as mentioned in the description. Gazibo and the steps to pond made our night even more memoriable. Thanks Stephanie..
