Be a part of history when you camp on this stunning property in Varina, with bike-in / bike-out access to the Capital Trail! Spanning more than 300 acres and owned by the Capital Region Land Conservancy, this property offers an unique opportunity to camp on the same ground as Lafayette after the Revolutionary War and Union soldiers during the Civil War. Our beautiful, secluded camp site is located 15 miles from downtown Richmond, less than a mile from the Malvern Hill Battlefield, and across the road from the Capital-to-Capital bike trail. The landscape has remained unchanged since the Civil War and you'll have exclusive access to our pristine camp site on a working farm. You can also hike and bike on our private trail network, which is a mature hardwood forest ready for you to explore. This is an ideal family oriented campsite, children 12 and under are free!

Malvern hill offered a beautiful field and calm place to getaway. The hikes on the property were scenic with plenty of wildlife.

The site was private and well kept. We had a quiet and restful visit. Close to Richmond. We also visited Williamsburg which was less than a 50 minute drive away.
