93 acres of undeveloped land. Camp near the road for an easy site or hike up the ridge to find a location that suits you. The way up to the top of the ridge is steep. A nice flat area is on top the ridge but its about a 1/2 mile climb up and takes thirty minutes or more. We get Verizon cell phone reception at the road and lower regions. Across the road is a stream which has very cold water and an old apple tree on a very old home site. This land was family farm for over 200 years, it has now regrown into an oak hickory forest. Hiking trails are old logging roads. Local activities in the area include, rock cliff views, national forest, hot springs, rock climbing, caves, waterfalls, bird watching and other site seeing. We are a 35 minute drive to City of Covington Va, or 15 min drive to the tiny locale of Paint Bank, which has been renovated into a restaurant and with bison served from local farm.
