I have two semi-developed sites.  First, there is an open field (field site) with no livestock.  Second, there is space in the woods (woods site) on the back edge of the property that is quite secluded.  See pics.

Spend relaxing time petting the Nigerian Dwarf goats, Rhode Island Red chickens, the super-friendly livestock guard dog (Thomasina), and the farm's horses.  We are also located adjacent to Agape Farms, with its horses, turkeys, and chickens.  You haven't lived until you have returned the gobble gobble call of a turkey.

All this is horse country just minutes from I-95 and an hour from Washington, DC or Richmond, VA.

We may have an our RV available for use (will need to coordinate in advance), seasonally.

Cross Creek farm was just what we were looking for. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful location that was very easy to get to and from. Seeing the horses in the morning was a big plus!

Rodney was incredibly accommodating, helpful and friendly, especially given the fact that we made our booking with such late norice.

I would recommend Cross Creek Farm to anyone looking for a quiet, convenient and simple place to camp.

Rodney was an excellent host—very welcoming and accommodating. I think we were only the second tent-campers to stay on his property. He is still in the process of determining which areas of his property are the best camping locations and how to best prepare those locations for campers. He was open to us staying wherever we preferred and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the site. He provided firewood, as promised in the advertisement. My daughters had a great time playing with the horses, goats, and chickens.

We really enjoyed our weekend here. Our host Rodney was so kind and welcoming. We didn’t expect to have 30 Amp hookup for our RV, so that was a pleasant surprise. We were 40 minutes from King’s Dominion theme park. We enjoyed being around the farm, hearing the animals, the fresh eggs, but most of all we enjoyed getting to know our host. This is our kind of place, and you can’t beat the price. This is what we pictured when we we signed up to try out hipcamp.

Great hosts! They go with the flow. Great animal watching...Horses, goats, ducks, chickens, and their dog, tommy. Definitely would stay again if we were in the area!

Beautiful farm, friendly animals, and a fantastically generous and chill host! Our heater crapped out so we decided to head south instead of extending our stay another night like we wanted to, and within ten minutes of letting him know Rodney knocked at our door, space heater in hand. Such a great site, and we had a ton of fun!

Cross Creek Farm is super conveniently located just out side of Old town Fredericksburg, and not to far from D.C.
Rodney was helpful when placing my camper and was knowledgeable of the area. The goats, farm dogs, chicken and ducks and very cute and make me feel like I'm away from it all. I recommend Cross Creek!!

We got their late, but Rodney made it easy, and had some very good pine to burn. Plus, he let the kiddos play with the various farm animals at dusk. Thanks!

This was the best camping trip we have ever had. We frequent state parks but this was so different. We all slept better and felt safe. My 2 young daughters were fascinated with all the animals and the general environment. Rodney and his wife were so patient and laid back with us. They even taught the girls how to milk the goats! The overall vibe of this location was so chill and comfortable. We immediately booked another night for the following weekend. We are all in on Cross Creek!

Lauren, You are far too kind. I appreciate your adopting of our farm in your own way, too. I look forward to your next visit. I can't promise any runaway potbelly pigs this time. :) Rodney
