The vibe at Blue Hill Farm
Oh boy, the farm at Blue Hill is just gorgeous! The drive out there is under a beautiful canopy of old trees on a road that curves and winds through the lovely state of Virginia. The property is south of Winchester, north of Front Royal and not too far from Berryville. If you have time, be sure to check Berryville out. It’s a cute little town with a population of about 4,000 and has some old buildings that would be fun to Instagram.
Upon arriving at the farm you’ll pull through an old stone entrance, pass an old windmill on the front lawn as well as the main house and park near the red barn. The space was easy for us to access in our small van and also level enough for us to sleep comfortably. There’s plenty of open space for you to pitch your tent. We’d recommend going down the hill towards the beehives. Or under one of the old trees for shade. If you happen to choose to be near the bees, just be careful since they’re surrounded by an electric fence!
Other than the bees, we didn’t notice any other animals which is good for those of you who love a farm scene but have lots of allergies! If you’re looking for a sweet spot to camp in Northern Virginia, give this property a look.
