The stay was excellent host and family warm and inviting we would go every weekend if we could . Much needed break from city life to this warm secluded cabin on a lake in the middle of the woods . This made me completely change my mind about city life Im moving back home to the country Where I belong. Fishing by moonlight , honey from bees animals...back to nature.
Best get away ever! We made a last minute decision to go camping and found Blackwater bird and bee! The cabin was beautiful and very clean! The host was super nice and helped us with everything we needed! They even gave us fresh eggs and honey! They had many things to do on the property such as fishing, farm animals, kayaking, fire pits, and we were able to bring our four wheeler! We had a blast with our dog and will definitely be going back!

We’ve been in Maryland just over a year now and since then have just been discovering other cities.
Upon arrival we were greeted with some homemade honey (divine)!
Our first thought was that the pictures did not do this place justice; it was exactly what was described and more.
My wife, dog and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Our pup swam to her hearts content off leash and wondered around happily - she loves water so it was quite a mission to get her to bed that night.
Other than the an unexpected storm that evening everything was as James described. We we are planning to head back out in the cooler season for more fishing and to enjoy the serenity of Blackwater Bungalow.

The host James met us and gave us a tour, the Bungalow was gorgeous inside, and out and the scenery couldn’t be better! The weather was insanely hot but we made the most of our time by paddling around the pond and exploring the Blackwater river in our kayaks we brought along. James was very accommodating in helping us find fun things to do despite the extreme weather and we are greatly looking forward to returning in the Fall! My husband and I are regular campers so this was a nice excursion and change of pace. We also enjoyed getting to bring along on the trip! Overall, despite the weather, it was a great stay.
This was the perfect location to get out of the city for the weekend. James was a fantastic host and supplied everything needed. We took the canoe out on the pond and it was just a short walk/drive down to the river as well. It was a very quiet and private little cabin. Excellent and would definitely go back!
This place is a hidden gem! James and his mom were very helpful and communicative both before and during our stay. The bungalow was was so cozy and was right on the water. It was also well equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed boating on the lake, visiting with the goats and enjoying a cold one while watching the fantastic view of the stars. Highly recommend this place and we hope to be back soon!
Amazing Amazing Amazing! Our family ( myself, husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs) enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Blackwater Bungalow. What a hidden gem! We had lots Todo to include, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming in the river, relaxing and my daughter's favorite visiting the animals. The bungalow has charm and we had hunny and veggies from the farm waiting for us. We will most definitely be back. The hosts are amazing and the location couldn't be more tranquil and more beautiful! Thank you Blackwater Bungalow for helping our family reconnect!

What an amazing experience ❤️! This camping trip was great! We enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be back in the fall. A great escape close to home for all members of the family!

The bungalow overlooking the water is quite relaxing. We thouroughly enjoyed Beekeeping 101 and the plant tour. Thank you for allowing my 3 year old to suit up as well. We learned so much! And for me, getting to pet the goats was a treat. My entire family loved getting to go out on the kayak and we even caught a few fish. What a great way to spend a weekend.
