Awesome View has an awesome view! It’s serene and relaxing. A great spot for dogs, though mine thought they ought to bark at the owners every time they saw them. Close to a laundromat, grocery and gas. Not far from an entrance to Skyline drive. The hosts were very friendly and super chill. Overall, a great spot!

The view was awesome as promised. It was the rest of our experience that was unexpected and exceptional. Very nice and laid back hosts with lots of camping experience. This allowed the to anticipate every need. We were provided with very reasonably priced firewood, access to both water and power and a comprehensive info packet about the surrounding area. Great stay and I would highly recommend it.

The name says it but doesn't go nearly far enough. Great site, easy in and out and close to town but very quiet. We explored the area for four days and would highly recommend it.

Awesome View is just that! There’s an awesome view of the Massanutten range. Vickie and her husband are super chill and kind hosts. You have a large field in which to spread out and are close to essential amenities like laundry, groceries, gas, etc. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The views were fantastic! Vicky and her husband were there when we arrived and immediately greeted us when we pulled up. Site was very clean!
I do think it’s worth noting though there is a train and busy country street leading to Elkton right next to the site. I booked last minute and wasn’t able to research this before hand so that on me. But besides that it was a beautiful weekend here! Thank you for sharing your land with us!

We loved camping in our pop-up here. The road was sometimes loud but the location and views were fantastic. The owners were wonderful, very helpful and personable. We'd camp here again for sure.

This place is very quiet and no close neighbors. Easy access, only at 3 miles from 81 highway. The site size was perfect for our pick- up and 32 ft fifth wheel. Be careful if your carriying heavy ( we carry weight 8000 lbs ) if it is spring time or rainy as the ground is a bit soft.

Beautiful camp spot! Well thought out camp spot and clear directions. Grass was almost level, wasn’t muddy even after a lot of rain. Electric worked perfect. Picnic table available and trails to walk. Dog friendly for well behaved dogs. Pretty horses that perked up every time they saw their owners. Train horn goes off every few hours at night and road noise is pretty constant. I put a fan on to block it out to sleep. I will definitely be back here. I’m in love with this property and the owner is friendly. Thank you for the lovely stay!

We had a beautiful stay here over Veterans Day weekend. The views are incredible, and it’s close to town, but not too close, so we were able to go and get groceries, or enjoy dinner out, without it turning into an hour excursion. We had no problems with the electric, and there was firewood available if we wanted it, but we didn’t need it. They also provide a fire pit and a nice picnic table, so it’s much better equipped than most Hipcamp sites, in our experience. And it’s a relative bargain, too. The owners were so nice and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again.

This was an easy location to camp at. Firewood was available for a few bucks and at first glance, I thought the box along the fence was a Little Library but on closer inspection it contained information on ideas of what we could do around the area (I did leave a book anyway, I hope you like it :)

Our hosts were lovely, the property was very well maintained, and the camping area has a beautiful view. There are only 2 sites in an open field area which we preferred over the crowded campsites in the park. We were only 15 minutes from a Shenandoah park entrance to Skyline Drive so it was a perfect base camo for our weekend!!

Our electric rv site was beautiful with great scenery and very peaceful. The electric did go out a couple times but we regained quickly. I would recommend this site and the good communication with the owner. Would definitely stay again!

The name says it all - unbeatable views. We love Shenandoah and some overlooks don’t even have as nice of views. The hosts were super friendly and provided us everything we needed. Filled up water, had electric hookups, great fire ring with wood we bought from Vickie. Her husband also provided great directions for our next stop. Will be back - cannot recommend enough!!
