Primitive tent camping, at the historic Catlett gap homestead (with some creature comforts). There is a fire ring with some seating and extra folding chairs, and plenty of firewood. There is a clean water source, and access to outside power. There is wifi if you stand close enough to the house. But we have no outside bathrooms or shower. Fishing is also permitted, or you are welcome to feed the fish. There is also a 50 yard firing range in case you'd like to do target practice. Currently there are no amenities for outside bathrooms, so please come prepared. There is a Liberty gas station 1.7 miles south of the cabin in case you are in need of toiletries. Besides the property, there are some other fun things to do in the local area, such as horseback riding, hiking and swimming at Cacapon State park which is 15 miles north. There is also downtown Historic Berkley Springs which is an adorable little town. There are hot springs, roman baths, spas, and some good restaurants. Please note that the cabin itself is available for rent in another listing ($70/night), so it is possible that there will be more than one guest there at a time, either renting the cabin, or other campers. All parties would be notified in case that happens.
