There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields.

Island Bend

Magic place

Spent 5 nights at Island Bend, absolutely magic place. Mark is so welcoming and friendly. Did not want to leave. Our dogs exhaust themselves running rings around us at site. I think they look forward to island bend more than we do. You get SMS and calls at site but the bluff makes the internet a bit iffy. Seriously thinking of working from home at Island Bend via Starlink....

Weeping Willow (main site)

Fantastic stay yet again. Our fourth trip to this brilliant spot. Right on the river. Swimming, kayaking, campfire, plenty of space for our large group. Mark's a great host. Look forward to getting back there again next year.

Weeping Willow (main site)

Peaceful and perfect campsite!

We absolutely loved camping at Rodborough Vale. We camped at the Weeping Willow site and were in awe of how beautiful this place is. The creek that flows through the site is a great spot for fishing. We caught some trout and golden perch. Mark was very welcoming and kind. There are signs along the roads directing us to the campsites and the toilet located in the woolshed, so we were able to find our way to site ourselves with ease. The property is a short drive to local towns. We drove in to Maryborough one night for dinner at a local pub which was lovely. The entire property is beautiful. We explored the Creek Flat site as well as it was nearby and unoccupied during our stay - this site is also absolutely beautiful, with its own mini forest at the base of the creek. Although Creek Flat and Weeping Willow site are nearby to each other, the trees and the creek between the sites mean that you wouldn’t be able to see or hear other campers - both sites are very private and tranquil. It is a working farm but this didn’t bother us in the slightest, we loved everything about our stay. We will be back to Rodborough Vale, we miss it already! Could not recommend enough. Thank you Mark :)

Creek Flat
