Murrnong Farm - Pines Carob Area
Pine tree getaway
Beautiful farm & gorgeous camping area underneath the pine trees. Reasonably busy, you can expect up to 20 sites of people here on busy weekends, but the site is big enough that there’s good space - however everyone was really friendly & welcoming - including the lovely host David. Drop toilets do the job The dam is super refreshing for a swim, I’d recommend bringing a floaty to stay in the middle! Some warnings about leeches in the dam, but we didn’t have any get us (thankfully) The property is beautiful & David has created a real sense of community here. We will definitely be back 🤍

Murrnong Farm - Pines Carob Area
What a treat. We visited on a long hot weekend and the camp grounds were perfect. There was a really lovely vibe around the campsite itself with other campers nicely spread out under the gorgeous shady trees – there’s certainly no shortage of fining yourself in a ‘top spot’. The nearby dam was a perfect way to keep the heat at bay and the compost toilet was top notch. Despite the number of campers visiting the bathroom facilities, they remained spotless, well maintained and a real bonus – off grid with an added perk that was welcomed by all. Thanks David for a super nice weekend, we will definitely come back.

Murrnong Farm - Pines Carob Area
We had a fairly good camp with plenty of friends and our children spread across our 2 sites. Some downsides to this experience - if you are sensitive to noise, the trains go by multiple times a night and blow their horn. Some of our party noticed it, others didn't notice anything. Depends how heavy of a sleeper you are. ! There are bull ants everywhere - at one point by 4 year old was completely swarmed as she rode her bike over a particular area, in pain and terrified. Also, two of our guests were severely stung by wasps/bees - one adult, had over 5 on his head, and another was a 7 year old girl, also stung approx 3 places on her face. Do not go if you are allergic. What was great - the lovely Italian worker on the farm gave the kids a great experience of milking the goats! They pat the baby goats and loved it. It's not a long walk into town and we really enjoyed that for morning coffees and snacks. Bush loos were in great condition, they were changed over with a text to David. We wouldn't stay again, but if you are a newbie camper, this is probably an appropriate and safe-feeling site. Just stay away from the perimeter where the bees/wasps nests are, across multiple trees.

We had a great stay at Murrnong Farm! It was busy with the long weekend, but it still felt relaxed and secluded. Plenty of shade and a short walk into town. Would recommend and would stay again!

Murrnong Farm - Pines Carob Area
Pet friendly and relaxing stay
Great location in walking distance to town. Very spacious area with lots of shady trees to park and camp under. Fire pits and wood provided if you wished to use. Pond was used by multiple guests including children. Fresh, organic produce available to purchase from the farm - limited as per seasonal availability. Our group had 3 dogs staying and there wasn’t any issues with other dogs wondering into our site, as all are to be kept on the lead unless swimming in pond - which our dog did to cool off. Definitely had a relaxing time and enjoyed our long weekend at Murrnong Farm, would recommend for others to go and try this place!!
