Murphy's paddock is a small hobby farm on the seasonal Axe Creek. The property is located 40 mins from Lake Eppalock suitable for fishing and swimming in the warmer months. The campground is on a lush grassed creek flat beneath beautiful red gums. Murphy's paddock is hobby farm which has Murray Grey Cattle and a small mob of Dorset Sheep. We are dog friendly. There are no amenities so guests must be fully self-contained, BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. We hope to add a toilet in the future but for now everyone must BYO. Campfires permitted and firewood is available to purchase in advance. Bring your marshmallows to toast over the fire. The campsite is for bush camping with limited services.

Nice quiet spot

Robert was a great host, gave us a quick briefing on the property, then showed us the firewood and said if you need anything or more wood let me know. The camp-site is nice and quiet, well maintained without disturbing the natural environment. Perfect. Would definitely go again.

Quiet out of the way spot

Fantastic quiet spot. Sheltered site on the creek. Well grassed and surrounded by trees. Fireplace with plenty of firewood. A great option if you want to get away from the caravan parks and people, but still close to Bendigo and Heathcote area. Robert is a good host, very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great escape near Bendigo

We spent nearly a week at Murphy's Paddock in our caravan and with our dogs. It's a great grassy campsite, well sheltered amongst the trees and Rob and family are fantastic friendly hosts. Even though there are a couple of properties across the creek, its quiet, secluded, safe and a great escape. We'll be back!!

Complete serenity, just the sounds of nature. I came here by myself with my dog just to get away from the city life over Easter. Heaps of room, nice and private and the host allowed you to walk around his property and have a look. I really loved this place and would love to come back again.
