This little spot is nestled in on the banks of Brahams Creek, just near where Iron Brook trickles into it. This area is beautiful, with lots of tree and maiden hair ferns and moss covered logs. If you like to sleep to the sound of a bubbling brook, this is the site for you (slightly sloping).
It is recommended that campers on be fully self contained & BYO toilet, digging holes is not sufficient. Facilities at the top of the hill are available for use and included in your fee, but this is a fair walk from the campsite.
The two sites are either side of the creek.
Iron Brook Donkey Farm is located on rolling hills of mountain pasture, backing on to the Yarra State Forest. Bushwalk along the little creek among tall trees and majestic tree ferns, or just sit in a deck chair and take in the exquisite views at the top of the hill. Multiple tracks head through the Yarra State Forest where you can wind your way along dirt roads through to Noojee, Powelltown, or Reefton, each of which have a cosy pub at the end of the drive.
The donkey farm is situated conveniently, halfway between the popular redwood forest, and the giant Ada tree walk. Just chill in your own time, or book an activity or a donkey ride. Donkeys can take riders up to 60kg
We do allow pets, but this MUST be discussed with us prior to booking as we have strict rules around this. We also allow campfires only when fire restrictions aren't in place - which is often all summer.
Children under 3 are free, but due to insurance purposes, please mention them in the comments
This property has an overall capacity to ensure that our number of visitors remain low. This not only ensures that campers recieve the space and peace they look for in a campsite like this, but also so that we can ensure the bathrooms can be kept clean and not overloaded. This is also a part of our COVID safe plan.
Due to this overall capacity it is important that you book for the number of people that you intend to have stay, as while we try to accomodate increases to booking numbers, they are not guaranteed unless booked. If we have met overall capacity then we may not be able to approve increases to booking numbers. This is for the comfort and safety of all our visitors. Thank you

Linda is a delightful host and her property is a piece of paradise that she is sharing with campers. We found Linda so helpful and friendly., and the camp site was perfectly peaceful and private. Look forward to visiting again!
Iron Brook was a serene, beautiful break, and Linda was a wonderful host. From the location to the babbling brook surrounding an incredibly private spot, it was an awesome weekend away. Can’t wait to book a return trip!
Great location, beautiful views and isolated camping spots across this wonderful property. Linda was a lovely host, and tried to make sure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The kids had a ball with the donkey rides, and spent a long time in the baby donkey pen - a real hit. Thanks Linda!

Host and very accomodating with moving our site when the weather looked like it was taking a turn for the worst. A beautiful property with plenty to see and do, the kids are already asking to come back!
We stayed the Labour Day long weekend in Goanna Grounds, which was ideal for our big off road caravan. Linda communicated to us, before we arrived, was very welcoming and great to chat with. Loved our stay and highly recommend Iron Brook Donkey Farm. Thanks Linda.
We had an awesome time at Iron Brook Donkey Farm. We had breakfast next to the donkeys each morning, the area was amazing; clean, open with stunning views. Gorgeous toilet facilities (which sounds weird but they were.) Linda was accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the donkeys & area.
Linda is an amazing host, her place will only leave you with great memories!!!
