Brigitte’s farm is absolutely stunning with a million dollar view! The site was big, flat and private. The composting toilet and hot showers were close by and worked well. The animal life is incredible - we got to experience a koala, kookaburra, wallabies and of course the beautiful alpacas. Highly recommend staying for a couple of nights :)
Thank you so much to Brigitte and her alpaca! We had the best time and would highly recommend this campsite.
After a hard week at work, managed to get to the site after driving through beautiful countryside on good roads. Victoria is looking stunning. Site has views that go on forever, watched a massive storm roll and unfold across the valley below. A perfect rest, beautiful place
This was our 6th YouCamp/hipcamp and 6th on our list. The overgrown camp paddock was about 100 metres from their house. Public groups walked the alpacas close by, several times a day. 3 camper groups shared the paddock. The place appeared run down and the drop/compost toilets were not clean and the pit was almost to the top. We never met the host, despite ringing and her passing by our camp spot several times. We've stayed at working farms several times which were way more private, cleaner and more respectful of guests' needs. We sadly really couldn't recommend this campsite to friends.
Beautiful views around the farm with lovely alpaca friends. Brigitte was nice to answer my call even when we arrived very late at night. There’s so much space and privacy. The condition of the toilet were a bit unexpected but it’s still okay for one night stay.
Thank you Brigitte and sorry for calling in late.
Brigitte's passion and empathy for her cuddly animals was a fascinating and heart warming event. It's inspiring to see people doing the things they love. We pitched our tent perfectly for a sunset that hits beautifully down the depths of the rollings hill and into the valleys of Hallston. The hot shower also saved our spirits after many days of camping elsewhere without one.
Thanks for everything Brigitte!
PS: campers in a tent like us will want to be prepared with plenty of pegs for nights when the wind picks up.
It is a lovely spot. Camping is in the paddock. The view has beautiful sunsets and very cute alpacas roaming around. The shower was clean and hot. The host was polite and left us to our selves. The area has plenty of places to visit nearby. The local town a few minutes away had fish and chips, grocery store (with good vego options), a brewery, bakery and cafes.
It was amazing. A spectacular view and surrounded by beautiful alpacas who are very calm and kind creatures. Camping felt incredibly private as the paddock is huge.
Would definitely recommend the alpaca tour. It is such a pleasant experience and so lovely to be so close to the animals. Brigitte is an amazing host and a great tour guide. We learnt a lot about alpacas and enjoyed the nature during the tour.
