Stockmans Rest
A group of friends and I camped on Kim’s property. It was stunning! The area is clear and easy to find. Kim is such a lovely person who loves sharing his property. Swimming in the deep dam was amazing with the occasional fish jumping from the surface. Can’t recommend this spot enough. Feels like you’re in the middle of no where but with the convenience of a flushing toilet! Plenty of firewood available for the cold nights.

Main Dam Site
I will definitely be back to Main Dam site at Alpine breeze. We camped with 4 other Families and there was plenty of space for our 3 trailers and a few tents. It was nice to be amongst the trees while looking out at the dam.. We also had a great time swimming and paddle boarding on the dam. Kim is very well set up with a fire pit and other accessories at the site. He also supplied us with some wood for the first night and there was a place on the property to buy firewood at a great price.

Home among the Gum Trees
Lines from John Williamson’s song immediately come to mind. Give me a home among the gumtrees, a little bush retreat where the kookaburras call. Idyllic location and well worth a visit. I didn’t go for a swim in the damn but lots of others did and they looked like they were enjoying it. Next time I will bring my bathers. Great amenities; fire pits, toilet, drinking water and firewood available for purchase. Being Easter a busy weekend but sites well dispersed so didn’t feel crowded. Close enough to Mansfield if you need supplies. Kim was a very welcoming host and provided some good tips on local places to visit. Definitely would like to visit again.

Main Dam site 2
Fantastic spot, camped right beside the dam. With no one else around it was great just to sit and listen to the birdlife and watch the trout jump. A nice cool breeze off the water was welcome on a hot long weekend. Swimming in the dam to cool off was awesome. Kim was a great host, we would definitely recommend his property!

Group Booking: Stockmans Rest
Perfect camp site for a large group a short walk from the dam on the property. Kim Is extremely welcoming an then leaves you to enjoy his beautifully maintained property. Given the chance we would love to come back.
