You can and must be able to handle pure privacy and disconnectedness. There is no reliable Cellphone on the property and the closest email is 2 miles down the mnt road at a public library, which is also at the swimming hole/ rock and bridge jump.

Potable water access at the farm at the base of the mnt. 1 mile down the hill, 300 foot elevation difference. accessible by trail. Or from nearby brooks (should treat that water). Composting outhouse at the base camp farm. Leave no trace and responsible wilderness ethics are highly valued and need to be understood and respected by all campers.
5 younger residents live and farm and project down at base camp and will sometimes be taking it easy, some times working hard. If you have any interested in learning about starting a homestead or diverse agricultural operation on relatively very little money you are welcome to volunteer with us on our sustainable homestead design projects.

Quaint old time VT town of Norwich is next stop on the AT with Hanover and Dartmouth provide great dining and supply options with tons of outdoor recreation opportunities. Or hitch a ride 10 minutes down the road, usually one of us has to head into town a few times per week.
