Pristine pastoral views
Pastoral views and friendly animals and wildlife to greet you each day. Everything you could need is located on site at camp and beautiful towns are not far with places to eat and things to do. The local state park was nice for a swim. Campsite has pots, pan, silverware, plates and utensils as well as a camp stove. Nice fire pit beautiful view and relaxing stay. Be prepared to drive off road and bring a camping shovel!
Beautiful, romantic farm stay
After searching for a campsite in the white mountains for a hiking trip with no luck (, when we found that everywhere was booked or very expensive for not much gain) we came upon this listing. We immediately taken by the views from the tent site and took a chance and rearranged our plans to just stay at this site for the weekend. It was much chillier than we anticipated, but the owner was incredibly accommodating that we really didn’t mind!! As we drove down the road, we immediately saw the yellow mercedes on the hill as described; and Rupert saw that we had out of state played and immediately found us on the road to follow him to the campsite behind his truck. The site is very private and quiet; nestled in some apple trees on the top of a horse/cow pasture on the owners land. The owner lives very close by if you need anything but the site is extremely quiet and peaceful. There is a fire ring, cute barrel table with 4 chairs to sit for meals, a makeshift outdoor kitchen (equipped with dish drainer and 2 sets of plate, bowl, cup, utensils etc). There is also a propane stove and a cold water faucet with sink; which was a total lifesaver. It is so helpful to not have to bring so many things with you and have it all there (it’s the little things!)
The tent was super cozy with a air mattress and pillows and tons of solar lights that you could turn on at night. Such a great touch! There was a lot of heart and soul put into this site and it shows! We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and will be back for sure! Highly recommend!
Cozy, beautiful camp
Our first Hip Camp experience and it was wonderful! The tent was already set up on a platform with a futon pad and throw pillows. We brought our own blankets and pillows too. It did rain but we stayed dry. The camp came with a gas stove, sink with running water, pots, pans, plates and reusable silverware. My favorite part was the solar overhead lights and placement of the fireplace. We had beautiful views of the horses, long meadows and mountain ranges. Rupert was quick to notice our arrival and sped over to give us the rundown. He was polite and said if we need anything, send a message. And he left us in peace after that! All wonderful for a first experience, thank you.
Incredible campsite!! Just as pictured and the views are even better. The tent was spacious and very cozy and comfortable. Full camp kitchen with sink counter stove puts pans etc and a grill for the fire pit, everything you could need. Lots of seating, pretty solar lights, overall a really cool space. We were even visited by horses and a goat in the evening who came right up to the fence next to camp. The mountain views were outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!
