Remote tent sites with a private view of the mountains around Lake Willoughby. The Lake Willoughby beach is a two minute drive from the site, and Crystal Lake State Park is less than 10 minutes away. Hiking is available at nearby Haystack, Pisgah, Wheeler, Hor, and Bald mountains, which are all a short drive away.

The sites are  not visible from the road, but the host is located in a nearby house to assist with emergencies, recommendations, and complimentary paddle board rentals. A pond is adjacent to the sites and available for swimming and water fun. Pets are welcome! Two dogs live with the host but will not be loose while the site is occupied.

Site 1 is further into the woods and Site 2 has some brush that we are stacking, so please excuse the mess, but both are beautiful and peaceful!

Whether you are looking for a hiking, lake fun, or just a relaxing getaway, we look forward to hosting you!

Sharon was a great host - lovely to meet and very responsive. We brought our VW Vanagon and parked it by the pond, so we didn't use the campsite. We're not used to road sound where we live, and there was some from where we were parked, but I think at the campsite it would be much quieter. We didn't need any of the extras that Sharon provides because the van is pretty self-sufficient, but she has put much thought into what campers may need and organized it nicely. The location is near one of the most beautiful lakes in Vermont - just down the street! I definitely recommend!

Sharon was the perfect host! Warm, welcoming, and friendly! We enjoyed chatting with her about the area, and loved all the tips she gave us. The site was private, and we loved all the greenery that surrounded us. The pond out front is adorable, and after playing with the paddleboards on Willoughby we went back to lay around her pond. The pond is clean and has some beautiful sunset views. She has a couple of adorable dogs that also came out to join us. Two houses down is a large farm with fresh eggs and veggies. There is a bar very close by called the Gap that we had a drink at and we enjoyed chatting with the locals. weekend away from it all was just what we needed! We both want to come back and enjoy this spot again. The northeast kingdom will not disappoint!!! Thank you!

Just some good camp food!A large field down the road from the site We took the paddle boards the host offered out on Willoughby and loved every minute Another gorgeous shot of the pond!

Sharon's campsite and property was MAGICAL!!! From the super clean, pond that was the perfect temp. to swim in, to the beautiful ferns and tree covered campsite, our stay was absolutely perfect! The camp is just a short 2 min drive to north beach on Lake Willoughby, The Gap, a local bar and restaurant(try the poutine-- it's amazing), and the 802 store for gas, ice cream and groceries. Sharon was so helpful with recommending places to explore and was so generous to allow us to use her inflatable SUPs on the lake!! Also, her two dogs Dexter and Tucker were adorable and quickly became our campsite friends. We 10000% recommend Sharon's camp and will definitely be back!!

Our two nights at Sharon’s were wonderful! Easy to find, peaceful, and minutes from Willoughby. Sharon was really thoughtful about the ways in which she prepared the site, and was happy to drop off a cooking pot when we realized we’d forgotten one. The clean pond (and included paddle boards, though we didn’t use them) was a huge bonus!

Our two nights at Sharon's were wonderful! She met us on arrival, offered to take our stuff to the site with an ATV to save us multiple trips (though it's a very very short walk from the parking spot to the site), and was kind enough to offer us her paddle boards, as well as a cooking pot as we'd forgotten ours. Her pond was lovely for a morning dip and for star gazing next to, and Willoughby is just a few minutes away. Couldn't have asked for more!

We camped at Sharons site for two night's with 4 people and 2 cars. It was a wonderful experience that had our group planning our next trip before we left. Sharon was helpful and friendly providing a box of camping items including a radio to reach her if needed. The site was clean and included a picnic table and firepit as per most conventional campgrounds. You have a nice view of the local mountains while having good shade protection, for being July the site stayed relatively cool during the day. Our group included a birding enthusiast who enjoyed tracking and identifying the local birds at the site and on the lake. The site is a mere 2 minute drive from the beach, if you bring bikes it would be quite the easy ride, you could walk it if desired but it would be a longer adventure. Sharon provides plenty of help and attention if needed, but gives you plenty of privacy to enjoy your time as well. We were offered two paddle boards (they are inflatable with backpacks so you dont need a roof rack or large vehicle to transport) use which we took for a wonderful 3ish hour tour of the lake. We were happily surprised by a bag of donuts from the local Amish bakery on our checkout day with a kind note attached, after living in VT for almost 10 years and moving back to MA for work I can say Sharon has the kind of attitude and helpfulness that I always cherished from most VT residents. She provides a bin for you to place bagged trash in however we opted to pack out our trash as we felt she had already provided excellent services. 10/10 will stay here again.

Where do I even begin? Sharon was an amazing host and the site was great! She really went out of her way to provide a unique and thoughtful camping experience accompanied by solitude and some pretty wonderful views. Also, she truly loves the NEK and gave some great advice on what to do during my stay. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to camp with picturesque views, tree coverage and also learn a thing or two about this beautiful place.
