10 acres hosted by Rose L.
The Kimball Dairy Farm was founded in 1850 in Orange Vermont on over 300 acres. At that time, the sheep population in Orange was 3,000 and the human population was 800. Things have drastically changed since then. Our land is limited now to 7 acres with access to the VAST trail system which spans most of Vermont. We are renovating all the buildings on the property which include the main farm house with exposed hand hewn beams, the main barn, milk house and the old chicken coop. We've converted the grain silos into a fire pit and patio to be used exclusively by our guests. Our  walking trails wind through meadows, and woodlands with fantastic views of Camels Hump. Feel free to poke around the old dump about 15 minutes walk from the property where we discovered brass civil war buttons and porcelain doll heads. There is a great little swimming hole about a 15 minute walk down the road and the Orange Reservoir is less than a mile and a half bike ride.

Loft in Funky 1800's Barn
Clean, cozy and quiet! Cute dog!
Had a really amazing night in the barn! Clean, cozy and quiet with all the things we needed. Rose was a great host and even recommended a local burger spot that was delicious! When we got settled we cozied on the couch with their adorable friendly dog Roy! A little chilly at night but that's just fall in Vermont, so all in all had a great time and would recommend!

Loft in Funky 1800's Barn
Rose is a fantastic host, and this was our favorite place to stay on our trip. We loved the funky decor, the composting toilet, the kitty named Garcia and the dog named Roy, and the hiking trails around the property. 10/10 would stay again!

Loft in Funky 1800's Barn
Rose and Danny are amazing hosts; we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful, comfortable, and warm visit! The loft is cozy, private, and beautifully decorated. Rose and Danny made sure we had everything we needed and more. We had such a great time exploring the property and talking with Rose about tarot cards and spirituality. We will definitely be back to this little slice of Vermont heaven soon!:)

Loft in Funky 1800's Barn
Rose and Danny were great hosts, clearly had tried to think of everything. Loft had dishes, chilled wine glasses, utensils, coffee and tea, what more could you ask? And on top of that, Rose does the dishes. Played a game of croquet on the lawn and took a short hike to the swimming hole. It was a great stay! And don't forget to ask about the localvore breakfast.
